- Jan 15, 2013 11:03 am GMTIn ranked: 11 wins (4 against C+), 9 losses (8 against C+), 21 Disconnectee's. Evenly spread rank...
I've been kicked out of every room I aquire more than 2 wins in the actual KotH lobbies.
Really, Overall player decorum has plummeted.
And this just in, People constantly getting up into my Ivy's 9B+K ... Stop complaining because I effectively DESTROYED your health bar by your failure to adapt.. More specifically... (( [3B] [B+K] [6B8!] [9B+K] [6B9!] [9B+K] [6B9!] [9B+K] [6B9!] [9B+K] [6B9] ))
So, Assuming [!] means brave edge.. This poor D rank fella ate 5 Ivy Licks, 4 of which were a Brave Edge, and then got launched AGAIN by my CH. Noice.

Not at all. Online for all games is bad because it's always full of spoiled people that feel entitled to winning without trying and throw tantrums when it doesn't happen. So, Assuming [!] means brave edge.
There's no broadly-accepted notation for BEs anywhere in hte English-speaking community(can't comment on others obviously). Some people use exclamations, some use dollar signs, some say BE, some use slide input notations. Those are just the ones I've seen, I'm sure there's plenty more out there. I personally prefer the slide input notation since it doesn't require any additional explanation that the standard notation already has, but htat's just me.

- Jan 15, 2013 1:50 pm GMTYou'll have to deal with that a lot more at lower ranks; people find it emotionally difficult to come to terms with losing to an E and so they prevent it. By any means necessary. Cognitive dissonance and denial and all that psychology mumbo jumbo. Believe it or not there are a lot of people with issues in the broader community of frequent online gamers haha. Once you climb to about C rank it gets a little better and I haven't been d/c'd on since I made B.

How spoiled punks go into denial about losing and d/c on people unless they can think of a good excuse (like that person being higher ranked.)

-Wandrian - Jan 16, 2013 9:25 am GMTI personally hate little E5 ranks which are super-uber high ranked 8,000+ players in disguise. Usually when I run across them I'm always in for a tough fight, but I won't always choose my main, I'll pick a sub style I want to train with like Dampierre then get blown up, If I would have known they were a 88% W/L Ratio A1 ranked player with over 8,000+ fights I would have picked my main.
In SC4 I was about level 100+ with a great W/L ratio in ranked, I would create a session and a couple people would join, most of which would just leave right away and search for an easier opponent. So then I got fed up with waiting for matches, so I created a secondary GT at level 1. I immediately got match, after match, after match, after match right away, and the funny thing was that it was mostly from players level 200+ that I've NEVER seen or fought before, lol! Talk about a LOT of Noob hunters out there!

That's not surprising. Part of the reason is due to the demographics of players in Ranked. As well as the points system for Ranked.
At least the couple days I played in Ranked, there were always several Level 60+ guys around, but the majority of players are Level 1 to Level 15. So basically they are just going for the achievement, like I was. After they get it they'll probably never play online again.
Also, the points system forces Level 1 to Level 15 guys to only fight each other. Otherwise, you don't get much points. I fought a couple level 60+ guys while I was ranking up but I stopped after I noticed the points issue.

Now that's pretty funny, haha. - Jan 16, 2013 2:58 pm GMTI played maybe about 10-20 ranked matches after I got the achievement, but kept playing player matches for a good year or so. (Then I went off to basic and that was the end of that haha.)

Yeah it was hilarious for me, I would sometimes wait around up to 8 minutes to get someone to join my lobby. I switch Gamertags and BOOM! A level 85 guy out of nowhere joins, he's terrible, I beat him, then create a new session IMMEDIATELY get another person to join who is level 233, I play him and he was on a 51 fight win streak! I fought him and went 3-1, just before the final hit he rage quits, lol! Really?
SC4 Ranked was sort of a joke, it was just a bunch of high level players picking on poor helpless noobs who mostly just wanted their level 20 Hero King achievement. If you were level 100+ you were avoided like the plague. If you were level 5 or under, people would be gunning for you. (Average wait time for me when I was level 2 was about 3 seconds after creating a lobby, LOL)

youtube.com/ermkane6 - Jan 16, 2013 5:14 pm GMTA guess the biggest flaw with SC4's ranking system was the fact that high level players could actively avoid other high ranked players and just noob hunt all day. But it was funny as hell if you pretended to be a noob and caught one of them joining your lobby. For that reason I realized most of the good players create sessions, and the majority of the bad / terrible noob hunters would only join sessions, preferably ones with the easiest looking opponents.

youtube.com/ermkane6 - Jan 17, 2013 1:26 am GMTYeah you still got decent points by fighting anyone, so there is never any points reason to fight Level 200+ guys when you can fight Level 1 guys.
The BIG points increase was only for fighting other players within 5 or 10 levels of you. Because of that, Level 1 to 15 guys make out best by only fighting each other. And it's not that hard to do cause there's always tons of Level 1 to 15 guys diddling around. But once you get past Level 20 and get the achievement, it makes no difference who you fight cause you probably aren't gonna get the points bonus anyway.
