Yeah, sorry guys. I only got on long enough last night to play a couple matches before I got a call from an old friend and never got back online. To answer you question reptile, no I didn't host a lobby. I usually stick to joining friends or randoms unless I'm streaming or someone specifically asks me to. Nobody ever seems to join. I am free to play any time today or tomorrow though

It's basically on-hit. I wouldn't advise doing it out of 214 though, as it's very slow and predictable. I only do it out of 8A+B, which automatically does the 214 for you, and only if I confirm the 8A+B scores a counterhit. If it does not land a counterhit, the KBB is easily avoided by teching, and you should use the B followup instead. I use the 8A+B to tech crouch to score the counterhit.
It was really strange to see my own characters fighting against me. He was the one that hex edited my characters for me, and he still had my file on his hard drive. It figures the one time you're not streaming is the one time there's two sets of my lizard characters duking it out in your lobby >=(

Altair (and several others of his approximate skill and confidence levels) abandoned the boards as a lost cause, Haru moved on to CoD and DoA and our poor EVO chances of an EVO appearance were probably the game's death knell for him, terabient moved on to RE6 mercenaries, Jukain's working on clearing out her backlog of games she hasn't finished yet, I'm a victim of military internet, I think Wandrian's just plain busy lately, and the dude that used to drive everyone crazy with Dampierre is probably busy trolling lol.
Also Johnny's right, as I said before you have insane raw technical skill, I feel as though you could easily transfer that into being a great player of other fighting games if combined with a little bit of practice and critical thinking.

The problem is, I hate how they all play. In Tekken, you get juggled across the floor with chest-height punches, the counter system is horrifically bad, and the controls are stiff and unresponsive compared to this game.
Then there's every 2D fighter I've ever played (except UMvC3, which I just might start playing more) where you can just turtle the entire game and crouch punch whenever your opponent tries to jump in, spam light hits to interrupt everything, and spam teleports/fireballs to keep them away until time out.
I just hate the behaviors that other fighting games encourage and give no reasonable counter to.

I was occupied big time on Black Ops 2 and Halo 4, especially loved the christmas noobs populating the games, it was like free killing sprees! But all in all, it really aggravates me about the DOA5 hate, especially when biased Capcom would rather give MvC Origins (A 1996 rehash game mind you..) a side show slot over DOA5. Dead or Alive's sequel just launched in late September, and if you look at the critiques it's usually just a bunch of people who either 1) Never played the game.. or 2) people who played it and didn't understand it within 2 days and stopped playing it.

Yea the Capcom love really is irritating, like I said I just couldn't get into DoA, both 4 and 5 felt off to me but that doesn't mean we need 3 Capcom games main stage and a Capcom sideshow. SFxT just plain doesn't deserve an EVO spot and the whole v. 2013 patch was just a big stunt to sneak back in and re-sell all those copies people traded in for better games. I'd have preferred this game, but even DoA probably deserved the spot more.
@Edgemaster - have you tried P4A at all? It's rather difficult to turtle in that one, although I feel like you might be one of those people that gets really put off by the auto-combos lol. (You really can't use them as a crutch to the extent that people who get beat by them would lead you to believe - there are combos that do as much damage without cancelling into your super and charging you recoverable health for it, and extremely technical combos that do way way more damage.) It's just street fighter derivatives that reward the fireball/shoryuken turtle style and result in 50% of your matches being against Ryu and Ken.
You make a great point though - this game is legitimately something entirely unique, so all the people who lump it into the "3D games = not Street Fighter or Capcom = one spot covers the whole group" category clearly haven't explored it at all.

My favorite kinds of fighting games are ones in which you can play defensively and never make any offense for the whole match and win.
If you can run away for timeout that's even more fun.
