@Kubilius I disagree with you, I think their influence is Fallout and Mad Max, but that does not mean it is a copy, then all the fps shooters now copied to wolfenstein! the first shooter game in history if we are talking about COPYING

This slick-looking shooter has you traversing a postapocalyptic environment where you encounter all manner of characters, including bandits and mutants. While most of the action takes place in a first-person perspective, there are opportunities to jump into a vehicle that you can use to travel from town to town or to combat foes you might encounter along the way. Given id's history with the genre, it's easy to get excited about Rage.

I've seen the game in action on the XB360 - it looks even better than these screens suggest. We're all in for a treat.
Interesting. Think there was already something reported about this game. Duke+Fallout+Borderlands+Need for speed type of thing, right ?
@Phatjam98 I would think (and hope) that after all these years Id wouldn't finally come out with a new IP that doesn't have a strong plot! They know that they would be raked through the mud by us (the community) if they didn't make something that pushed the industry!
The Boys at Id know how to make an engine. I'm not sure what the story is gonna be, but the engine is beautiful. This should be the game that pushes the industry as a whole like Crysis did with its game mechanics. I cant go so far as to say it will push it like Half-Life did back in the day with its story telling, but lets hope they packed in an interesting story so we give a crap about playing it.

Been looking forward to this game ever since I saw it at E3 last year. It reminds me little bit of Boarderlands than Fallout 3.
All these games coming out this year plus the 3DS and PSP2. If the game doesn't score a 8 or better then no money for you. Might even bump that up higher at the end of the year to 8.5 or 9.
Looks amazing, will be better than fallout 3 which I loved. The racing looks kinda cheesy.
Everyone says it looks like Borderlands, to me this looks like Fallout with a better game engine and tweaked controls to work as an FPS. I would love to see Fallout 4 running on this engine.
