Set about a year or so after the events that transpired in Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception takes the duo of Nathan Drake and Victor "Sully" Sullivan around the world on a hunt for treasure. Their journey will take them to a variety of locales, such as (from what we've seen so far) a chateau in France and the sands of the Rub'al-Khali desert, where the "Atlantis of the Sands" is said to reside. A number of changes and refinements are also in store for Uncharted 3's gameplay mechanics, which should give Nate more options while he's navigating deadly terrain or engaging thugs in firefights.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Platform(s): PS3
Release: November 1, 2011 (US) TBA 2011 (UK/AU)
@Marky360: Preferring the Move over the Dual Shock 3 is like saying you prefer sand rubbed into your eyes as opposed to water...
@pman2525 Thanx I guess they feel it doesn't need it besides Sony's got enough good games coming this year that do Support PS Move either way I can't wait to play this game since Uncharted 2 was so much fun.
I wonder if this game will have Playstation Move support. Most of Sony's big exclusives this year will include it and Killzone 3 has already used it to a brilliant degree some might even argue that it is more preferable then the Dual Shock 3
GOTY nominee definitely but not GOTY guarantee. Sorry for 3 comments must've taken a lot of space :D
People are saying that 2011 is a leap in gaming, this message is for them. Just because this game and 2 or 3 more games that will make an impact are coming out this year, I have to remind them 2009-2010 with Uncharted 2, Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2, Call of Duty Black Ops, Vanquish (if taken), Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood, Mafia 2 and pretty much most of the games that came out.
very, very cool gameplay, whoever it is that playing the game sure knows how to do it and there is one more thing, the character (also the player) looks around and react to the environment and doesn't stay like a statue when you're either moving or not moving him, which makes this game feel more real also a very important miss in most of the games, uncharted makes it perfectly. Looks like we'll be enjoying the game very much. Guys you noticed the sawed off shotgun there right? Pretty cool weapon, shame we couldn't use it in U2 and Lazaravic could (at least in the cutscenes.)
@willlclh. those arent the only reasons you should want a ps3 dude but definitley in the top 5. This will be awesome and i only wish it had splitscreen which it wont
Looks good although it looks pretty much like U2 which had a heavy route game feel, when the original Uncharted is still the best by far imo: better concept, great story.
has anyone else noticed that pretty much every comment is getting heaps of thumbs ups? seriously, go through a few pages
@MEDzZ3RO This game is definitely going to be game of the year material because Naughty Dog wont settle for anything less than Uncharted 2's success. Also, look into Skyrim, thats going to be game of the year material.
@MEDzZ3RO On the contrary, this game looks like a huge improvement over Uncharted 2. It's not like the core gameplay has changed much (you can still run, jump, and shoot), but the hand to hand combat looks improved, the aesthetics have gone up even further, the environment looks to be destructible, and the connections with other story characters seem to be more integrated; i.e. instead of just helping shoot and then just walking around and then just commenting and standing around, Sully (at the very least) is moving seamlessly between the ways the AI can function. The stealth mechanics also seems to be more important this time around... Uncharted 1 was great, Uncharted 2 was incredible, and I honestly can't see this game being any less than near-perfect.
@Matchbox10 No, not really. Obviously auto weapons pick up works for additional ammunition of a gun you already have. It doesn't mean that running over another weapon on the ground will mean your current weapon is immediately swapped out. You can even see proof in the gameplay trailer, Drake chooses not to pick up the sawn off shotgun.
the graphic have improved and know there is the auto collect ammo option, and i think the only thing developer should do is improve and increase the varieties of weapon. and to have a split screen option for coop and online and offline match. there should also be offline bot match.
Good but not Game Of The Year, if somebody told me this was an expansion of Uncharted 2 I'd believe them; there seems to be little improvement made. Granted Uncharted 2 is near flawless but you'd expect something, this looks identical. I personally think Killzone 3,Little Big Planet 2 and Mass Effect 3 have better chances of winning it this year.My preferance has to be Killzone 3 for GOTY 2011.
@DarylJ100 the story doesnt necessarily have a direct link so there wouldnt be a problem in terms of just getting Uncharted3, but if i were you i would get uncharted2 before. as youll get to know the characters more and its an awesome game! plenty of people still online and story mode is amazing. plus it should be as cheep as chips now. hope this helps and look foward to seeing you online on the multiplayer mode
would it be better if i bought the 1 and the 2 one complete them and then buy this one or are the storys nothing to do with each other mail me and let me know plz cause this game looks sweet!!
Awesome as usual from ND - cant wait - just hope it's a little longer and a little harder than 1 & 2, will get it regardless.
I guarantee this is GOTY 2011!!! I wish all developers put the time in like Naughty Dog.
The melee attacks look soooo cool, especially the stealth ones. In my opinion it will be the best PS3 game of the year!
OH I know, I just get chicken skin from them! ;) IndianaPwns39 said: @MorGuliA The Uncharted series isn't zombie free though.
And to think I once concidered this as just another Tomb Raider... how wrong was I; it's god damn brilliant!
