Marcus, Dom, and the rest of Delta are back for more head-stomping, stop-and-pop action in Gears of War 3, which takes the crew to an island called Vectes after the sinking of Jacinto in Gears of War 2. With this new environment come new weapons, such as the Pendulum Wars-era lancer and the digger launcher. There will be new foes to face in the form of the lambent--infected Locust suffering from extended exposure to imulsion (also known as "that juice"). You encounter these foes both in the new campaign, which supports cooperative play with up to four players, and in the new Beast mode, a slightly different take on Gears 2's popular Horde mode that puts you in the shoes of a locust.

Best co-op experience period and multiplayer on the consoles to date. Nothing can tough this franchise. Cool characters, amazing graphics and a solid story. Love me some Gears. THE TRAIN IS AT HOME ON THE RAILS!!
i recently got Gears 2,, which is a great game (though im completely noob at it :( ) so i will probably get this game at some point
Don't want to be sexist but I'm not sure I like the idea of women fighting in gears of war 3. Takes away some of the brutality. All the male characters are huge brute-like warriors that look like they could take on swarms of Locust, I'm not sure those women look up to it.
This game will be fun, the multiplayer which I personally hated in the other games might actually be fun for me in this one.
@shansss123 there will never be a pc version. thats what cliff said back in 2008 for gears 2.
Gears Of Wars ... always top quality action, visuals and gore. The personality of the characters is really strong in this series. You gotta love Epic!
All I need to say: LA Noire Battlefield 3 Batman: Arkham City Mass Effect 3 Metal Gear Solid 3DS and now I need to change my pants.
I like the intro of female characters to fight along side of, hopefully some new weapons and grenades and vehicles
This is day 3............. They are doing a weeks worth so those will come shortly if the developers give us some real screenshots to admire that is. Gears 3, and Dragon Age 2 both gave us shots to look, at and footage, we have nothing from ME3, or Diablo 3 (that the devs will say is real game footage other then footnotes, and test shots from vary early alpha versions of the game) So yeah these pics are for gamers who can see what the games look like. For an exclusive Gears of War 3 looks like it will make even Uncharted 3 cry for it's best graphics claims are pritty much beaten by Gears 3. Splinter Cell Conviction was just as good as Uncharted 2 in terms of model detail, and better in terms of effects detail, and textures/shadows. It's going to be hard for Sony to claim they are number one when the Xbox360 is doing Gears 3 graphics, Crysis 2, Brink and Rage at 30FPS while their platform is runing Crysis 2 at 23FPS, Rage is at 20FPS, and Brink is at 22FPS on PS3.......... Yeah thats real number one in graphics performance when ur platform is under the min 24frames per Second that the human eye can see.
A lot of great picks for sure...but seriously...no mention of Diablo III? or Mass Effect 3? - agree with ecs33 are you guys living under a rock?
@coaltango STORY?! what story? dude, there are so many plotholes in the Gears of War story....and im a fan of it!
I love gears series. the story in this game is top notch. grfx? well its no uncharted 2, but the character build up is so amazing. I wanna see new weapons & some new grenades.
Nothin against you guys who like gears, but i just...well...dispise gears of war....idk why...gears 3 is turning into halo 3 story wise. Where is Mass Effect 3 on here?!
on that day when Epic games decided to not to make pc sequels of this GOW series at that time forfeited this game series except the first one good game great luck Xbox owners
Gears has taken over Halo I reckon. Gears 1 & 2 are awesome games. I don't own an Xbox, but have played a LOT at my friends. Brilliant stuff. Gears is one of the only games that i wish was on the playstation. That's not a fanboy comment guys - thats jealousy! p.s. these screenshots have well be edited :p
I wish it was also on PC, now I have to buy an Xbox 360 also just for this. No complaints. ;)
