A Federation ship flies circles around an enemy.
explosions look like crap. this is boring. also, does this mean every player gets an enterprise? cause that will suck hard.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwn.......
i was in beta and there is no option to ram or damged taken by hiting other ships, the whole space combat is very much simple spam space bar to shoot then use ability to get other attacks, It needs a lot of work as currently 90% of all battles is just going around and around enemy shooting, which is very boring, space distances also need some work too as every ship has to attack at 10k which is far too close considering how weak a lot of the ships are compared to each other
Oh, and as to the video, I fly circles around my enemies all the time. Why is this so strange that it needs a video?
Gelugon_baat, LOL! NOTHING can be rammed. And there appears to be NO damage from collision. If you're in the right position, you'll "slide" around. Otherwise, you'll get stuck. It's a shame too. Grabbing your enemy with a tractor beam and slamming them into a really big asteroid would be sweet. This thing doesn't use the StarFleet Command physics. While some evironmental effects can occur in a way ("gas" clouds that can affect you if they are "ignited" are treated as "enemies"). But, there is no collision damage, whether that collision is friendly, enemy, or environment. Sad. Just sad.
Oh yeah, can anyone who is playing the Beta or the Retail game tell me whether there is an option to ram enemy ships?
