E3 2011: Star Trek (2012) - Official Trailer

this one should be epic.

After Decades of being let down by star trek games, i choose to not be optimistic this time. I have lost faith that someone might make this franchise a decent game. I did like "A Final Unity", but have always been let down in the big picture of things. Hopefully..someday, someone will come along and get it right..

I'm shocked this Actually looks COOL.

although the 2nd image on pictures, the gun the spock is holding looks rather identical to the guns the Grunts and Elites use in Halo....

it actually looked rather good and as its based on the new star trek, i might get it. Dont know which one ill get it for be it PS3 or PC.

Could be a fun romp if it had its own visual style...Personally I'm not too keen to spend more time in Abrams-ville. I wonder if engineering will be modeled after that brewery where the 2009 movie's scenes were shot. Also wondering if its possible for the game's engine to generate enough bloom to reach the heroic overexposure and lens-flaring of the movie. I remember bridge scenes where the characters faces were obscured by enormous lens flares. Yeah more of that please.

I hope it's nothing like Deadspace......that game sucks.

@Meet391 i'm glad i'm not the only one realizing that. but taking that in account i bet it would be a great game. all i want is great mechanics and an immersive deep story, things that made Mass Effect and Dead Space series great. looking forward to this!

Hahaha..... The mixed up Mass Effect & Dead Space gameplay mechanics. The flying, driving, shooting..... all seem very familiar to these two games. Still, looking forward to it, provided the story is similar to Mass Effect in terms of immersion.

Mass Effect set in Star Trek universe? Can't deny the environments look good, characters, not so much, a bit stiff (but hey, pre-alpha) ... still feels like ME though ...

Until I see a finished product I can't say whether I will like it or not. Star Trek games don't have a good reputation so we'll see.

Looks like a mix between Star Wars Unleashed and Mass Effect but remember guys it's still in early development. I like it and I'm glad the game at least has a trailer with some gameplay.

looks like deadspace 2 with worse graphics. I am a trekkie, but I also like good games, and right now I'm just not feeling this one.

that float in the space and dodging the debris reminds me of Dead Space 2

looks pretty much like mass effect.

Trailer doesn't convince me. Need to see a hands on from Gamespot as Star Trek games have a terrible record.

Im kind of getting a Mass Effect vibe from this trailer, which is definitely not a bad thing.

I am in no way a fan of Star Trek, but this looks pretty nice. Some very cinematic parts which where cool. :D
