Actually let me rephrase it. A grind is where the game is predominately lvled through killing mobs rather than questing due to mainly there really arent that many quests available. There are many games out there like Aion, 2moons, rf online, Runes of Magic, maplestory, rose online and so on in which each lvl is predominately gained through repetitive killing of mobs.

@Arghyeeho I'm only using to refer to a previous post but I do agree that using WoW can be a bit excessive. I think people are too naive in having WoW as their main reason behind almost every gamer terms like farming/grinding or any other lingo out there. The fact is, people havent even scratched the surface of the term "grind" in comparison between WoW and other games out there that the definition is often misinterpreted. I guess the best way to interpret "grind" is the average time spent per lvl in the most efficient way. With that said, there are plenty of games out there in which "grind" is much more time consuming in other games.

@utbigred Sorry, but length of time it takes to max-level a character isn't an indication of anything aside from how much of a player's soul has been inhaled by the game. The REAL joke here is that WoW comes up in every MMO conversation, because frankly, it's just like every other one on the market. Telling yourself otherwise is just fanboyism at it's very best.

@Crimson_Erskine Please keep telling yourself that WoW is a grind. A game in which you can reach max lvl in 2 weeks isn't considered a grind. Getting emblems, gear and rep is farming, not grinding. Get it right. If you want to grind, Rf online was a grind. Took 10 hours to get to 10% of one lvl (around 44) where max is 50 but of course this was before the exp buff. Ya...wow a grind. What a joke. Farming != Grinding.

Will there be a single player part to this game, cos i'm not really into MMOs but i loved the first 2 games.

@utbigred Are you serious? Rep grinds, gear grinds, emblem grinds, and unless you have heirlooms item grinds. WoW is a grind game you can trick yourself to thinking its not, but it is.

@ vadagar1 How was WoW a grindfest? You know what's a grindfest? Aion, SRo, rf online, 2moons those were grindfests. Considering how fast you can reach max lvl in WoW, no way in hell is it ever or even was a grindfest.

It seems that no devs from Bioware ever talked about KOTOR2. I understand it is not Bioware's work, but is Bioware really going to to pretend KOTOR2 doesn't even exist?

@vadagar1 dont worry man, this game will be released on Q2 2011

that's kinda cool, i wonder what we'll see, the undercity, as i refer to it, sadly there will be no chance of the players running into the same characters as in kotor 1, but it's a cool idea to return to this game, thanks for the upload, and the good news guys...

I'd be satisfied if this were just an online mass effect with lightsabers. I'm pretty dang psyched

as long as its NOT like wow (grind fest) and as long as I can develop my character based on skills NOT only gear I might actualy try this game. but since C&C4 sucked and supreme commander 2 was weak ..... etc this year seems like the year of epic FAILS for games. plz God let me be wrong

@claykenobi - "Console owners were the ones who put Bioware on the map!!" Wow.. that was a revelation. Here I was thinking Bioware put themselves on the map with games like Baldur's gate, Neverwinter Nights and of course KotOR. Get a life kiddo!

BioWare can suck my b@lls for not putting this on console..Console owners were the ones who put Bioware on the map!! KOTOR was one of the highest selling games in console history and we get the shaft!!!?? Really cool, GUYS!!!!!!

lol combat animations laggy? you should see other videos of light saber fighting. its the best man. Compared to Wow's slashing in the air hit. Jedi and Sith are going to parry properly and hit properly. its gonna be a mad game.

Cant wait for this game to come out :) ! though while this game looks great, i really hope they make an offline kotor ( or at least not an mmorpg..)

bartimeo8
bartimeo8

the battles didn't seem too good and the planet is indeed indeed as to what it was and everything but as a feel or an environment it doesn't have something special for them to hit on it as hard as they did "unique this, unique that" Still tracking this though, it's a whole year the can make improvements ps. stop moaning about mmorgs, of course many companies are making steps on that direction, it sells, it is open ended so it can be brought further and obviously it pays even for the reason of making piracy useless, and they have been losing much there over the past years.

alright sounds cool..................can we get to the playable races, there better be at least 10.

I very much like the design style of the environments and characters, but the combat animations are kind of laggy, not enough key frame may be ?

If they released KOTOR III and the MMO later, people would just complain they were not making a KOTOR IV. Btw, define cartoony.

woah new soundtrack there right at the end @halo378 yea agreed remember that open walkway in the uppercity with all the sith troops walking around and the roiters that would be an incredible vista shot....but I still mourn for KOTOR 3. What it could have been, the epitome of star wars and all rpgs

I wonder if we'll get our hands on some pod racing action. Those minigames were fun in KoTOR1&2.
