- Aug 26, 2012 8:27 am GMTShe is the most selfish moron in the game, and it just gets stupider based on the trailer for the story of the expansion. She is still 100% fixated on revenge on Mengsk at all cost? Here's an idea, sister, how about you cool your jets? What did Mengsk actually do? He betrayed you and left you to die. What happened? You became one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy, you have an important and necessary ability to save the galaxy and all life in it at large from a greater evil, and oh, by the way, you're human again so you can get freegy with Raynor like you've always wanted. Maybe focus on all that upside, and the fact that Mengsk did no irreparable damage to you and you're really a lot better off now than you were before when you were just a nobody tool ghost who had your identity wiped out. I'm not saying she can't hate Mengsk's guts with a passion, but being a monomaniacal revenge nut is completely counterproductive, so she needs to take a minute and gain some perspective.

Good sir, that already happened. Back when she was a hot ginger. And not all...tentacly. And hellbent on total galatic destruction.

Kerrigan was a young girl who was found to have a special skill. A government mandate required she be enrolled into a special program and be trained to be a government agent, whether she wanted to or not. They made her a killer and erased here memory whenever they wanted. They used her. Mensked "rescued" her and gave her "freedom" from that. Then he betrayed her, and left her to die once he got what he needed. But she didn't die. She was captured, mutated and programmed to be an even worse killer than before. Then she took over, but it wasn't human Kerrigan in charge, it was Zerg Kerrigan. Raynor finally saved her. Kerrigan now has some form of freedom.
What you are saying is, "Oh, boohoo, little girl. Get over it. You got to bea superpower all on your own, even if you didn't want it. and now you are normal again. Stop being a crybaby and just go live your life." Even though she is still being hunted.
Let's try looking at this another way. Let's say you were screwed over and left for dead, but instead of dieing, you were captured and.... well, the real world isn't starcraft, so being Zerged isn't possible. Let's try a real world equivalant. Let's say you were captured and continuouslly raped (Because I think being physically transformed into a monstrocity of evil would probably be about as bad as rape is, not to be gross or anything) for years. But, you were the most respected person in that group and for some strange reason, the constant rape made you dangerous to the world. And let's say someone FINALLY freed you from that.
Would you move on and be happy?
Troll topic is troll because you think that being turned into a zerg was a good thing. I'm not trying to take rape lightly here. I'm saying that Zerg infestation, if it were a real world thing, would rank WAY above it on the scale of bad things and to say someone who went through it is a selfish moron is so ridiculous that this topic has to be troll.
troll on, though. troll on if you must.

Black Mage : We won't know till we get there. - Sep 2, 2012 9:53 pm GMTI think your rape comparison is both insane and offensive. Here's what happened, she was enhanced. This is the same thing she experienced her whole life as a ghost, basically. Does it suck? Yeah, but you know what enabled her to break free of the cycle? Becoming a Zerg. So being a Zerg is awful, well, lucky for her she isn't anymore. So she was enabled to be powerful beyond imagination and free of being other people's pawn. These are both incredibly good things. Now, the key here is I'm not saying well that means she should like Mengsk, I'm saying she should think of other things and not be devoted purely to revenge against him at all costs.

and we, on the other hand, find your logic and statements insane and offensive. Given that what he described is arguably the worst possible fate to befall a human in our world, I'd say it works well as a comparison.

-EGIdrA - Sep 3, 2012 4:00 pm GMTMy point exactly, Zeus.
Rape is the act of one person forcing another person to perform some HIGHLY intimate acts against their will. It is harmful to both body and mind. If zerg infestation were real, it would go beyond that. It is not just forced intimate contact, it is a forced physical change to ones body AND mind. It is mutilation of ones self by another against ones own will. To tell someone to "get over it because it made you better" is a horrid argument.

Black Mage : We won't know till we get there. - Sep 28, 2012 6:06 pm GMTWell since we released all the terran crap holding back her psionic power back in sc1 she should be at full power. Power can drive a person mad. So maybe all that's left of kerrigan is revenge because she was driven mad and that's the only desire or drive she can hold onto.
Although, given WoL ending she might not be mad with power. But still anyone would be revenge seeking like Sasuke Uchiha after what Mengsk did.
Masked Mage sounds like one of the kind of people who would try to rationalize why they do a bad thing. Oh rape is ok it felt good for them is what I'm getting from him.

what are you guys, idiots? mentally unstable monkeys? i mean were you guys seriously bashed in the head with a hammer and had your brains replaced with turds or something?
calling a fictional thing a form of rape is both insulting to rape victims and insulting to your selves as human beings, because for one, you have no f'ing clue how she was transformed, it could have been an injection for all you morons know, so to call it on the same level as RAPE?! maybe you guys need to get raped so you know what you are f'ing talking about - Oct 24, 2012 5:16 pm GMTdarkbeam posted...

They explain it in Starcraft 1 right in the Terran missions. Kerrigan was inside the chrysalis. The chrysalis is what transformed her. And in the Starcraft novel "Queen of Blades" they give a VERY clear picture of what happens to Kerrigan inside the chrysalis. Blizzard was NOT vague about how Kerrigan became the Queen of Blades. They wanted people to know it was a vile process; one that no real human would EVER want to experience. They make it clear that she was slowly converted into a zerg and that she conscious and aware the whole time and was against it until the process had gone so far that her mind itself was mutated.

Laissez les bons temps rouler. - Nov 18, 2012 1:46 am GMTJust got done reading the new novel Starcraft II: Flashpoint, and well, new novel spoilers.
Remember the end of SCII:WOL, where Raynor carries Kerrigan off? The book takes over RIGHT from that point.
Well, turns our not only is she not entirely human again, but she's in REAL bad shape. And as Raynor saves her, Arcturus shows up with his newest flagship and the other half of his fleet and tells Valerian to "Kill the *****." Turns out he was nearby waiting the whole time the Char battle was going on. Valerian says no, so Arcturus orders his half of the fleet to open fire on Valerian's half of the fleet and mostly decimates it just because he wants Kerrigan completely dead.
Arcturus tries to kill everyone, including his own son just to make sure Sarah Kerrigan dies. 24 of 25 of Valerian's battlecruisers and all the people serving on those ships, as well as a bunch of Arcturus's fleet and his people dead, just because Arcturus doesn't want her alive to tell everyone what he did and prove the recording from the adjutant Raynor recovered is true.
More reason for her to be rightfully enraged. Arcturus didn't just betray her. He's hellbent on seeing her dead and the corpse in his possession so he can parade it around as his victory over the Queen of Blades. And he'll ignore the Zel'naga prophecy and kill his own son to get what he wants. He deserves everything he's got coming to him and then some.
So, yeah. There's all that.

Black Mage : We won't know till we get there. - Nov 22, 2012 8:39 am GMTMengsk put Kerrigan in a situation wherein she killed billions of protoss and humans, many of them innocent. Someone in that situation has two rational courses of actions; hate the person who did that to you, or hate yourself. "Getting over it" would be indicative of some pretty heavy psychosis.
Mengsk has screwed over a lot of people in his empire. Should they just "get over it?" Mengsk betrayed and misused soldiers, like Raynor. Should Raynor just "get over it?"
Kerrigan cutting a swathe of destruction across the dominion is irrational and hate-driven, but that's pretty reasonable when you consider she was put through more trauma than is actually possible in the real world. - Nov 23, 2012 2:02 pm GMTOr forgive yourself and hate nobody and move on with your life.
