The spawn beacon brings a whole new level of base rape, and the Space stage is the worst for it.

I was playing a game and enemies were constantly spawning into the main spawn area and there were upwards of 5-6 spawn beacons all in different sections and built close together.

People are finding a way to build them underneath the land mass so there is no way for you to destroy them. You would think they are invisible, but I flew in with a Hawk to scope it out and I could not find them. The other team just kept building them over and over, and we just could not find them.

I wanted to tell Lightbox about this as this is the second time I've encountered the exploit, but there is not a thread dedicated to exploits like this. I didn't want to post it in the glitches thread as it seems to not get much attention.

I took a picture of it as an example. There were 6 beacons in our area before this, but we were able to destroy one.

You can post this in the official forum of the game.
Or file.a complaint through the new complaint system.

The complaint system doesn't work like that. I did see a few cheaters on that playthrough and one of them had a near identical name with two different people. They must have been using a lag switch because one of them was freezing in place almost jittering back and forth while on the turret of a Razorback. I was in a bunker at the time.

it's far from cheating. you're just upset you didn't get there first.

If they are placing it below the normal area for combat (meaning, below your main base where you can't reach on foot) then that is cheating. There is virtually no way to rid yourself of this outpost once it's placed. The only strategy that would work is to make a hawk hangar or vulture spawner and scout out below to find it, but doing that would be an impossibility as the other team would just kill you over and over as they spawned in your base.

Like I've said before, making the outpost cheaper didn't solve the base ravaging, it only made it worse. Sure, you can escape base ravaging quicker with it being cheaper but your new base is liable to be destroyed in seconds if you're playing a team that isn't completely stupid and checks their minimap often.

The first time I encountered this someone on my team was able to find them underneath with a Hawk and destroy the outpost. The person kept coming back. Somehow people are using a Vulture jetpack to fly beneath and somehow place them.

I'm not sure if you can do it on both sides, it's always happened on the side I was playing on. I would assume it takes some trial and error. I don't even see how you could find an open space to place them but people do.

I've not seen this exploit yet. Though I've been witness to a player that goes by MajWolf/MajEarth that went split screen, put "Squad Leader" on his second controller, and used a jet pack to position himself directly underneath the enemy flag. First time I encountered it, he was on the enemy team and I was able to stop it, though I had to dedicate my game towards preventing such tactics. The second time, he was on my team and I called him cheap for said tactics.

Team Swap Sabotagers are one of the worst aspects of this game aside from cheaters in general. I'm also not a fan of the team shifts which make things extremely unfair when you have a team with 4 people and the opposing team has like 10+. It just doesn't make sense and it's no surprise people will keep leaving the game.

Even when new people join the game they'll often end up on the other team automatically.

He wasn't team swapping, he was just setting himself a permanent spawn point on top of the flag using his second controller.

I was making a general statement. I was playing in a CTF match with someone using the Team Leader skill and I was wondering how people kept spawning right into the area with our flag even when someone wasn't right in our encampment. This was on Echo though.

    Yeah
I don't know how they're doing it, used the jet pack and scanned a fairly large portion of the under map with and outpost and got nothing.

There has to be some sweet spots for sure. I noticed people using a "Stepping Technique" while in Ground Pounder on one of the Echo maps. They would place a spawn beacon on a ledge above them, then spawn on that ledge and then spawn another beacon on a ledge above that, etc. They would get to a high vantage point where they couldn't be attacked at all because everyone was restricted to ground vehicles.

They created a bubble shield and set up an entire arsenal directly above and in the distance from our main spawn base. We were basically sitting ducks because there was no way to defend against people we couldn't reach or even attack.

    You can't beat human ingenuity...

That tactic above is frankly genius. You can hate it, but I think a person that thinks up a strategy like that deserves at least some praise.

You can turn team switch off, and can also set team auto-balance on. I think there's also a way to have splitscreeners not be forced on the same team. No-one uses those options though, because they lose their strategies.

That exploit at the top, though, is inexcusable. Using game mechanics to your advantage is one thing, but manipulating and exploiting weak spots is quite another.
