does a great job of combing fun, frantic gameplay with strategy elements and base-building all together in a very seamless way. team play is emphasized here, but not in a way that forces you to play in a particular way. the atmosphere and design are great, and the maps leave plenty of room for all kinds of tactics. you always feel like you're in the middle of something big, and if you manage to stop and enjoy the scenery (granted you don't get a missile to the face in the process), you'll see just how crazy it is.
some things I were disappointed with were the lack of explanation for the game's features and the lack of character/weapon progression. you basically get one active perk at a time which may or may not be useful depending on what your team needs. there is also a moderately long learning curve to the game, which may turn off some people not patient enough to "get it". when you first play, you may get the impression that there's too much going on and people aren't playing together, but after a while, you realize that there's an organized chaos to it all that works.

Despite it's good ideas, Starhawk's lack of depth and content makes it feel like a missed opportunity.

'Just look at that sky' Epic space opera that is grand in every sense.

An otherwise boring third-person shooter made great by the strategy-style Build & Battle system.
