    So I finally bought this game since it's like dirt cheap now, and chose to main Asuka.

    I like her, but in my opinion, she kind of sucks, low-tier for sure.

    -For a counter-type character, one failed counter will probably result in a near KO punish, health is terrible
    -Her footsies are terrible, I get out-prioritized by every other character
    -Her range is pathetic
    -Her ground counter gets hit out of by mini-jump attacks (Juri) and EX moves....useless
    -No reliable anti-fireball moves, her HP/EX Exoricism has lousy range for anti-fireball usage too, doesn't go through all fireballs
    -Lousy anti-air, f+LK usually trades, only reliable anti-air is her EX Falling Rain requires meter, difficult to input on crossups, non EX version sucks....jumping around her is basically free
    -Any failed mixup easy to punish
    -Command throw range is terrible
    -air-air is terrible

    The only good things are her j. HP for mix-ups, and her oni with no lag, but the motion hurts a lot for repeated CADCs.

    Um.....help? Tips? I'm not dropping her, but man she is a lousy character.

    She's really bad. Getting buffed in ver 2013 tho. You pretty much know her weakness, only ex falling rain its reliable as an AA but its great at it, yeah it takes meter but asuka doesnt use meter outside of tag cancels/crappy ex lift kicks, as she does good meterless damage.

    Her footsie game its almost non-existent. But her on second, tag her in to do damage then get the hell out. Your best bet when getting out its not possible its throwing out stMk xx crMp to see if you catch something since stMk moves her forward a bit, then you can confirm into double lift kicks for your BNB or CADC for safety. downforward Hk xx Hk helps to confirm too but the second kick has bad range, only use after jHp.

    Remember you can CADC out of stLp xx stMp xx stLk chain for throw mixups (aka gimmicks because it isnt really safe lol)

    jHp its good but jMk its also good from neutral jump and it can cross up too.

    Her forward Mp overhead has a good amount of active frames so you can use it as a meaty to have an easier time linking into stLp ->bnb.

    For low hit confirm do CrLk xx StMk xx CrMp xx kicks/CADC

    CrMk goes under high fireballs and stuffs most high attacks.

    Asuka as she is right now is definitely lacking in many areas. I've stuck with her since the game came out though, so here's a few tips from my personal experience.

    - MK, c.MP you're going to want to use this chain a lot. Moves her forward and is safe on block, working nicely as a punish and hit confirm.
    - c.MK has her ducking so low it can duck under most fireballs. Also decent as an occasional anti-air.
    - The first two hits of Leg Cutter (df.HK x2) is more or less safe on block
    - f.MP is one of the fastest overheads in the game, and the fastest one period that you can combo out of (without having to tag cancel). It's -8 on block, making it a bit unsafe if they guess correctly, but it's definitely one of the best overheads in the game.
    - f.HK isn't nearly as fast, but it's safe on block.
    - Try not to throw out her counters too often. Don't rely on them that much, let your opponent forget that you even have them by using them sparingly. It's easy to punish if they see it coming, so don't let them see it coming. Get a read on your opponent, figure out how aggressive they play and try fitting a counter in when you're sure they're going to try pressing an offense.
    - I only really use her EX command throw if the opponent is near death and crouch blocking. I don't really bother using the normal one, though.

    Asuka's footsies is somewhat lacking, so I often use a nj.MK into the MK, c.MP chain to mix things up as well.

    After a j.HP I like to go into her MP, LK chain to work as a hitconfirm.

    Asuka in general does nice damage anywhere on the screen without the need for meter. The problem is actually getting her in, so I always have her as the anchor of my team.

    She's getting a TON of great buffs in the upcoming 2013 patch though. So many damage buffs in particular, as well as her anti-air options actually being vastly improved. One notable change is that her f.LK will now be invincible to air attacks.

    Enlarging his hit boxes on mp and hp is a nerf? Also they're giving him a good anti air so that makes up for his nerfs Imo. Staying on topic Asuka's upcoming buffs will make her a force to be reckoned with.

    I noticed some shorter combos that end with super end up doing more damage than longer combos XP

    What's her best, realistically do-able bnbs in real matches?

    For jump ins, I tend to stick with f+LK, f+LP, ML, Falling Rain --> mixup since I never mess up my execution with this one.

    And I guess for at it for lols, any Asuka tips for Scramble mode?

    jHp, stLp xx stMp xx stLk xx DoubleLiftKicks, jHk, stHk, Onikubigari, crHk

    The stLp its optional, its just faster than stMp but hurts damage scaling a little bit.

    You can tag cancel the Oni for an easy tag combo.

    She can do very long strings because of her ability to transition from her tekken strings to boost combos and viceversa, but this is only useful as blockstings as it hurts damage scaling a lot.

    For a high damaging-3 bars-superimpractical combo on STANDING opponents:
    jHp, stHk, Ex Oni, crMp xx Oni, crMk[wait for a split second] xx Super.
    Only use it to be flashy against bad raw tags lol

    Old combo video I made about a month after launch... most of the stuff is non-optimal but it may spark some ideas. Newer video will go up after the 2013 patch hits and be more akin to a "how to play asuka" video instead of just a combo showcase. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrBpDd6Xujo
