Super Mario Bros 3 is one of the best games for the NES.The GBA version has a save feature which makes the game even better.SMB3 is so playable and fun,has enjoyable level design,is colorful,charming,and had some great power up ideas for it's time.When I think of great 2D platforming games,Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog always come to mind,and SMB3 is a great 2D platformer.The fun level designs and playability of SMB3 and other Super Mario games are a big part of what makes them so fun to play.

The environments are part of what makes the game fun too.The environments consist of places with green hills,in the desert with pyramids,under-water,in dungeons,caves,castles,on pirate ships,high in the sky amongst the clouds.

The power ups in SMB3 include the mushroom that lets him grow bigger and absorb an extra hit,the flower that allows him to shoot fireballs,a raccoon tail that allows him to fly temporarily and eliminate enemies with one hit,a frog suit that makes Mario more maneuverable in water.

SMB3 is not linear like in the original SMB and you can revisit levels.You don't have to complete every level and you can choose your own path and take a short cut to a boss battle.Some paths are blocked by turtle humanoids who throw those hammers and you'll have to battle them to get past that area.

SMB3 added new music and it's very cute and charming to hear.

The game is very fun,lovable and charming.Even with the save feature,the game is still a bit hard because you can only save at certain points and you'll have to replay some difficult levels.But still it's an amazing game.
