I am definitely 100% a hoarder BUT it also makes me kind of a min/maxer in that I am willing to put all of my attributes into endurance and spend a long time leveling pickpocketing just so I can carry more loot in Skyrim, despite leaving all of my combat skills at minimum, while trying to fight my way through caves with a dagger and light armour, for the simple reason that they are ligher than heavy armour and 2 handers. Who needs health anyway? Anyone ever filled their pockets with more than three times the maximum loot they can carry and been willing to slowly walk out of the cave just so you can reach a horse and fast travel to town?

Totally a ghost. I love staying in the shadows and sniping and causing general confusion. I also like playing most MMO games as a support class character like a rouge, sneaking out of the shadows, hitting a few times, going back into hiding, and striking again from the darkness!
LMFAO that skyrim hoard scene looked like my home in skyrim! I prolly got a million gold worth of crap in my house, and it probably will never be sold. I'm definately a Ghost FTW! Chaos Theory, MGS, and Hitman FTW!

I have a tendency to be The Ghost only stealth games like the Splinter Cell Series, MGS Series, and Deux Ex. But Sometimes I'm a bit of a Difficulty Snob, Finishing a game on the Hardest difficult is most entertaining and one of the greatest feelings ever.
The Ghost!!! Thief, MGS and Splinter cell are some of my fav games , along with all the infinity engine baulders gate games.
I am a hoarder and a min/maxer. My inventory in any given Elder scrolls game could fill up an entire house. I always a mage in RPG's and am very meticulous in how I level them. I prefer to mix destruction magic and alchemy in Elder Scrolls. I could be ghost because I love stealth games but I never play that role in any rpg. I could be a difficulty snob because I don't like games to hold my hand, but I am perfectly willing to go down a difficulty if I get too frustrated.
Ghost. lol. Explain why my best weapon in Battlefield 3 is the knife and my best class is the Recon.
Ah yes, the difficulty snob. ^.^ However i dont feel like much of a snob.... I dont care what difficulty other people play. Every one is different and thats ok. i just prefer the hardcore settings. But yeah thats def me. Hello diablo permadeath.
I'm definitely a bit of a hoarder, in Fallout I have to thoroughly search each area. Takes a lot longer, but pays off by the time you're a little way in! ...in my rationalising head anyway :P
I have a little of difficulty snob since I play most of my games in Hard, but not hardest. I want a good challenge, and when I feel masochistic, i mean, confident enough, i get the hardest.

5 Like Some of the comments really crack me up here! Geez, some people sure like to bitch here. Perhaps that GameSpot is doing this because it is actually a bit of fun, and shall I say, even with a bit of satire and comedy involved? This is not to be taken seriously and for some of us, it is actually fun to see just what types of gamers we are (and I've been playing games since the original Atari Pong was considered brand new!).
And yes, any well rounded gamer is not going to just fit in any single category. I've already listed out most of the categories that I would consider myself to be part of. I might also begin to add "Ghost", especially since I started playing Far Cry 3, I found myself doing a lot more sneaking around.
Also, it is awesome that many of these modern games gives the freedom to play how we wish. Lets take Far Cry 3 as a current example of a very good, modern game. Just about anybody in any of the categories could easily play this game. Are you a "difficulty snob"? Just crank it up to the hardest difficulty and you WILL get a challenge! "Extrovert"? Plenty of multi-player options. "Introvert"? An excellent single-player campaign. "Reader", there are plenty of "memory cards" or "tags" as well a fairly complete in-game "encyclopedia" to read. "Completist", plenty of side quests and the like to do. "Hoarder", all kinds of animal skins, plants and various other loot to collect, not to mention the various types of weapons. "Builder"? There is a crafting system. "Exterminator"? Plenty of enemies to take out. "Ghost"? It is fun to sneak around and do "take-downs" on the enemy. And this is all in a SINGLE game!
So seriously folks! Lighten up a bit and just enjoy this little bit of gaming folklore and enjoy whatever games that you are playing however you wish, regardless of what category of gamer that you may end up being.

1 Like I am definitely partly the hoarder becuase I like to pick up a crap load of stuff and always find myself with a maxed out inventory with half of the stuff I don't even use haha.
Really? A hoarder on Starcraft 2? That just shows how little this series cares about gaming, given how it tries to classify gamers into rather arbitrary playstyles.
