- "Worth playing"
Remembering the days when I would go down to my neighborhood gas station and plunk quarter after quarter into the Arcade edition of SFII, SSFIV is like a walk down memory lane. All of the characters I grew up with are there, and there are a ton of new ones that fill out the line up beautifully. Street Fighter has always been Capcom's little gem, and it's good to see that the series is alive and well.
Gameplay: SSFIV sticks pretty close to the formula that has made it a great fighter. The inclusion of super combos, and ultra combos are brilliantly executed. The Ultra combo's are amazing as well as entertaining to watch.
Graphics: The graphics are SSFIV's shining point. They are smooth and beautiful. Every fighter is beautifully rendered in HD, and they just look amazing. The backgrounds are lush, and full of life. People and animals run about the backgrounds giving them a living quality, that helps the game feel even more alive.
Sound: The sound effects are top notch. The music is a little on the bland side. Most of the voice actors are great, with a few exceptions. The main voice actor I found fault with was Dee Jay, he did not sound Jamaican to me at all, he sounded just as Jamaican as Dan Aykroyd on Trading Places.
All in all SSFIV is a great gaming experience that shouldn't be missed by anyone who loves a good brawler. It is a little on the hard side, but with a good amount of practice, it will definitely grow on you.
