Firstly, I'm a huge fan of the Tales series, have been ever since I first played..Legendia I believe, so when I heard this game was coming out you can imagine the excitement, then it happened. It came out and I must say, for a game that was ported from the WII, even if it doesn't live upto the usual ps3 graphical vision, this game truly does deliver in a emotional story creating a atmosphere for you to understand the character's better, just as all Tales games do, the story/background is amazing as it devours you into it's world, the game has all of it's usual Tales ideas, the anime humor, anime cutscenes, the exploration, while the exploration isn't too vast as there are places you can't enter until a given time period you reach in the game, but for what it is, the towns are vast, the people' are chatty, it is certainly what you would imagine a JRPG to be about.
Now the music seems to be very linear as to what the game has provided in the past, as it seemed quite reminiscent of it's past score which isn't a bad thing, but get's repetitive.
The combat is a little complex to it's previous games, as I as well had a hard time getting the hang of it, but it's quite simple once you do. There are the A-Artes, the B-Artes, now many would remember the B-Artes and how they take place with the attack button and an analog stick, but here the difference of the Artes is you have two different routes to attack with, the A-Artes being the simple attacks, while the B-Artes being the flashier ones.
Overall if you can overcome the craze for high graphics as to what nowadays gamer's look for(even my bar is set pretty high lol) you will find this game to be truly capturing, a great and on-par entry into the Tales division, which should be tried if not bought by every JRPG fan out there.
