I am 24, and I grew up with the awesome JRPG's, which I love to death and still do to this day, but now today, shooters and violence are the key sellers. I can't even stand western RPG's because of their open concept. I need some linearity! PS.... I pre-ordered this game!!!! :) Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My girlfriend preordered this game for me, man I can't wait to play it! It doesn't make up for the lack of Vesperia on the PS3, but it's a start.

How come nobody cares about these type of games anymore?

I've always wanted Tales of game on the PS3! I'm so excited! The battle system is my favorite!

i love the tales series, i think tales of the abyss and symphonia were the 2 best. but symphonia 2 and Vesperia where my least favorit not to say that i didn't like them but i hope this game is in the latter category

i think i am happy -after the versperia ps3 port never making it i feel a small spark of what i guess is happiness -it better be good

So getting it! Tales of Series is my favorite series of all time! All haters can go back to the generic FPS games where every single objective is the same... *facepalm*

hell_bourne i agree with you. lately japan games have been picking horrible soundtracks to go with trailers. example FFXIII-2, just garbage. but leona lewis's song my hands for FFXIII was great and so was tales of vesperia. so every now and then they do good but than bam! we get this crappy sappy music. :-(

@mdchapel9 if i had a nickel. tales of destiny 2 the sequel to tales of destiny was never released outside japan. tales of destiny was released here on the ps1 though along with tales of eternia (called destiny II due to copy right reasons). alot of people who are clueless about the series confuse eternia with destiny 2. its a similiar situation to ff4 for the states being released as ff2 and ff6 being released as ff3.

@shadowysea07 Tales of destiny 2 did come out in america, the case is actually on top of my Soul Caliber tin. lol. I'm not sure if the 1st one ever came out in the states...

@Defy_The_Fallen no there is no connection between most of the tales games except references cameo battles ect. only tales of phantasia and tales of symphonia have a real connection since symphonia is phantasia's prequel. there is tales of destiny and tales of destiny 2 as well but destiny 2 was never released outside japan.

So is there a link between all the tales games? i've only watched the tales of the abyss anime and wanted to get into the games.

Deja vu? as much as I really love tales series, they could differ a bit from each other...

I'm looking forward to this and all, but I can't help but be concerned that the theme is 'the power of friendship', judging by that trailer.
