Tekken 6 Question

How lightly do you press up/down to sidestep?

I'm having problems sidestepping; I keep jumping or crouching each time I attempt to sidestep! How hard do I push up or pull down on the arcade joystick to sidestep properly?

You have to tap the direction where you want to go twice. If you want to sidestep up, then tap up twice. If you want to sidestep down, tap down twice. It must be done in a quick succession.
