Tekken 6 for the Playstation Portable is a great handheld game for some Tekken fans. It's the best Tekken up to date but there is just one big problem, where are some of the game modes?
The graphics from Tekken 6 for the PSP are a huge improvement. The attacks are much smoother to see and it's easy to understand how this game works, for the first time gamers. ;)
The music is OK, since most of the music is Japanese and the music from Tekken: Dark Resurrection for example was a lot better and it had more game modes, which I will talk more about later in the review.
The character roster is improved with more characters, including Alex, Miguel, Lars, Bob, Azula and Alisa. There is also a new boss, named Azazel and a ''Bonus-Boss'', a sort of big Jack-6.
A huge dissapointment are the amount of game modes. Of course, there is Arcade, Story Mode, Survival, Time Attack and many more, but look at Tekken Dark Resurrection for example. That game, had many mini-games like Tekken Bowl. And it would also be nice if Tekken 6 had a Story Mode which you can walk around for free and like talk to people (like in the Playstation 3).
Another huge dissapointment is the amount of levels in Story Mode and Arcade. In all the previous Tekken's, you must fight other fighters in Story Mode until you reach level eight or nine, but in Tekken 6, there are only 4 levels in total, 2 normal battles, 3rd one is a sub-boss (Most likely Jin), and 4th level is Azazel (who is very annoying sometimes). I mean, THAT'S ALL FOLKS!?
In Arcade mode you could play so long as you wanted in previous Tekken's, but in Tekken 6 it only lasted until level seven or eight I think.
Still of those dissapointments, this game is a must-buy for every Tekken and those fans of fighting games. The graphics are nice, the music is OK, and for me this is one of the best games in time and in the Tekken series. It is worth buying anyway.
Gameplay 3.5/5
Graphics 4/5
Music 4/5
Sound 4.5/5
I give this game a 8.5! =D

Well I reached the Tekken God rank (considered the highest based on what I searched) easily compared to Dark Res.
