Vampire "burnt face" glitch and/or bug. Help?? (Long post, sorry)
- Oct 23, 2012 10:50 pm GMT(I apologise for the long post <3) For any of you who do not know of this bug, it is an ever present bug in Skyrim (all patches and DLC included) that causes a vampires skin to get much darker instead of lighter and look dirty. It's a very irritating glitch that no one has really found a definite fix for and no patches have done anything to even attempt a solution of it as far as I can tell. Now before reading or replying, yes I have read all the other threads about this and no, none of them have offered any real help. I've attempted the save file fix where you keep one save file from before you were a vampire and reload that before playing, but the burnt face texture was still present. I have not yet attempted the possible fix of attempting to cure vampirism and then regaining it to remove the texture due to the process taking too long and not wanting to waste time on something that may just not work, unless it has worked for anybody. I have tried making a Nord female, Imperial female and a Breton female. Each falling to the same glitch. So to my understanding when the player contracts Sanguine Vampiris and eventually turns into a vampire their skin is supposed to become lighter or paler, however on every vampire based character I have created, their skin has become burnt and much darker. No matter where I am when I become a vampire or what im doing or how much I feed or even if I am in sunlight or not, my skin always becomes dirty and black. I have met A LOT of people on every forum that I have checked with this same exact issue, actually I havent heard of even a single player not coming across this "glitch" and/or "bug". I play Skyrim on the Xbox 360 so all of these console commands and easy fixes do not help me in the slightest, now please, I have checked every forum there is, asked everyone who I could of asked and done everything I could think of but this glitch just wont go away, is there any sort of fix or upcoming patch? I'd really appreciate any sort of aid or help. This bug ruins the immersion of the game for me so much, it really is so irritating to me im practically OCD about it... Anyway... Please guys, if you can help, please do. Im desperate at this point. Thank you <3 ~ Ashley
