The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dawnguard User Review
- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Immersive"
I wanted to wait until i finished the main story line, but several random encounters with vampires longing for my blood on any of the roads, have made the entire story line come 2nd. It just lets you immerse in the Dawnguard Lore, interesting and very intriguing. The whole plot has a magnetic quality to pull you into the amazing world yet again without even trying. The Vampire Lord combat is intuitive and responsive. My only concern is regarding the AI on the allies, still in the middle of the way when you are fighting another NPC. The realm of Oblivion that is shown on this DLC is astonishingly detailed in every aspect since the moment you enter into it, to the moment you exit it. When you talk about Bethesda, you know that they will make a thorough DLC, since they have learned from their mistakes so let me talk about the characters and i am glad to say their background history are rich and deep, letting you into their lives and struggles, also making you be more interested on their plea for help in their cause, which in return creates an involving story for you to sink your fangs into. The new additions such as the crossbow, the skeleton horse, the new dragons to fight, new characters, armors are what makes Dawnguard an excellent choice for this vacations and another chance to get inside Skyrim once more. Let your inner darkness dwell into the light for everyone to see what a true Vampire Lord looks like, or make your way into the fighters for the light,as a Dawnguard. You wont get a chance to rest nor sleep on the first DLC for TES V: Skyrim.

A sloppy DLC that should have been a lot better than it is.

The random vampire encounters and attacks on the roads have made me immerse completely into it. Nice for the 1st DLC.

Best part is crafting arrows & Dragonbone weapons, new Shouts, but story, NPC's & places are great.
