What is the purpose of armor rating? Does it lower the chance of the kill-cam death(Opponents doing it to you) or does it simply reduce damage? and since juggernaut increases heavy armor rating im curious to know if this is just a useless perk or not.
Also, what is the restoration loop? Ive heard it talked about alot on this board.

Armor rating denotes how much protection it offers, it reduces damage. A rating of 567 is the maximum resistance (80% of all physical damage); any higher is useless.
The restoration loop is an extreme exploit that will give you ridiculous enchantments. For example, my character:
*All shout have no cooldown time
*I regenerate heath so fast I can only be killed if something would kill me in one hit (something like 300 hp, so fall damage).
*All schools of magic cost nothing to cast
*I have a daedric dagger that does 4,000 damage.
*I have an enchanted daedric bow that does so much damage it is displayed as a negative number.
It's so overpowered that I got tired of the game and haven't really played in a while. But if your insistent on doing it; check out the "Alchemy Exploit FAQ" on this website.

Well its safe to say I wont be using the restoration loop.
As for instant death enemy attacks, is there any reliable way to reduce these?(Aside from keeping the difficulty on novice)?

Stronger Armor (up to cap)
Keep your health up (use potions/spells earlier)
Kill them first
Take you pick.
I thought the problem with enemy kill-cams is they activate BEFORE your armor rating come into calculation. High HP is the only protection.

Higher AR helps indirectly. You take less damage from attacks which means you can take more hits before your HP gets low enough that a kill cam can trigger.

Instant death? It can happen if you dont do that loop thing.
Wait until the draugrs have ebony bows...
