So this is the "big announcement"? Pathetic. And I see micro$oft flashed their money at Beth once again just to spite ps3 users. Even more pathetic.

Ooookay a picture of dovakiin with bright eyes anyone dip can make. not even 1 in game screen shot or info AT ALL. I didn't expect much but damn thats probably the smallest piece of info Ive seen of a DLC. Theres more info on GTA5 for christ sakes. I think the last thing Bethesda needs right now is to piss off their customers further with meaningless "announcements"
"QQ entitled children. Be glad you're even getting THIS this early compared to when OB's dlc were announced."
KOTN was announced 7 months after OB, SI almost a year. Stop it.
You realize its been like 6 months since Skyrim released? I don't know if anyones pointed that out yet, I'm only on page 3 of this mess so far :p
Indeed. That's why I said 6 months is relatively early for them to announce an expansion, judging by the last ES game, so they shouldn't whine.
So 6 months is much earlier than 7? Fascinating. You have an odd sense of time o.o I'd just assume wait the 30 more days and get some actual info myself.

My tuppence-worth, as a lover of this game.....
- The picture shows a warrior with glowing eyes. Lots of people have assumed it's the Dragonborn - what if it's not?
- The Falmer have glowing eyes (remember that quest where you get the whole spiel about the Falmer and their creepy glowing eyes...?)
- We know that someone has uncovered some Snow Elf resource files already.
- Falmer are only able to exist in the dark (or is that they're nocturnal - I forget).
- Falmer used to be Snow Elves.
So my conclusion, this is going to be a Snow Elf invasion, or a massive Falmer uprising. Based on the glowing-eyes picture, I'd suggest he's in fact the Snow Elf Prince (again the resource already discovered). This makes the title even more appropriate - Dawnguard. Never used to be a need for that, but now they're coming out in the daytime!
I've got it.
You are the Falmerborn.

I really hope the spear rumours are true, and that you will be able to use them in the main game too.

The dawn era is when the gods began to create everything.

Dragon breaks are also called the "middle dawn"

ragon_BreakNothing that has happened would break the Dragon. No gods ascended. No big stompy robots were activated, etc.

The civil war? Maybe the dwarves got kicked further in time like alduin and are coming back? Or maybe the thalmor are continuing there goal?
There are a lot of possibilities bethesda has opened with their lore.
How does the Civil War break time? Answer: It doesn't. Sure, Breaks were initially introduced as a way to make multiple things canon, but they have a lore basis, and that fits with how they've been used.
The Dwemer most likely "became" the skin of Numidium. Or at least that's the closest thing to an answer we currently have. They would also have nothing to do with breaking the Dragon.
The Thalmor's goal is to end existence, and unbind the Dragon. Not break it.

Well, if the dovahkin is actually talos or his avatar or whatever then tullius or ulfric could be his wulfarth. Maybe bethesda intends to go somewhere along with those three mantling talos or whatever else those types of theories contain.
That's only if you believe in those theories though.
The dwemer are always sketchy, that was only a suggestion on my part as I believe they caused a dragon break when trying to use the numidium.
I don't really have anything to say for the thalmor. They're goal seems like little kids playing with guns to me.

The Dovahkiin most likely isn't Talos or his avatar, and that whole DVK/Ulfric/Tullius=Hjalti/Zurin/Ysmir tripe has absolutely nothing backing it up.
Besides, mantling and incarnation are two VERY different things (which one of my previous posts stated already), and I'm not sure how one could exactly mantle a CHIM'r.

Well I hope the DLC has a better stroy and quest structure then the actual game. and If the DLC ending is some lame ending that shows you really didn't change anything I'm going to scream.
Every questline ending in Skyrim was horrible and pretty much kicked the player in the teeth for even bothering.
