I can't think of any serious differences between the three. I mean the aesthetics of the area, and convenience of location (want to be closer to Whiterun? Solitude?) are really personal preference.

I feel like Lakeview tends to be the buggiest (worst offender for me with mod conflicts in the past, at least) but none of them are all that bad.

ah well i just can't make up my damn mind lol
do any of the locations have more or less attacks by dragons and stuff ?
i'm currently lvl 14 and figure i'd want a easy way to get materials from dragons without having to hunt them down since dawnguard seems to have changed all dragon alter locations into locations for more then just dragons and the dragons aren't garantee to be there every time like they used to be.

Depends what you want really. The Dawnstar one is actually really close to Whiterun (as in, it's much closer to Whiterun than it is to Dawnstar!) and is thus the most centrally located. It also has very nearby access to Blackreach (once you've unlocked the lift), and a nearby Giant camp. The location is kinda meh scenery-wise though. Miles from the nearest Lumber Mill though - when I bought it I just ordered 200+ logs in one go at the first mill I visited.

Can't comment on the Hjaalmarch one, but I'm guessing it's in the swamp near Morthal, so... meh. Why would I want to live there?

Lakeview near Falkreath is convenient for both Falkreath and Riverwood, not too terrible for Whiterun either. It's by far the prettiest location.
