Difficulty:
Just Right
Time Spent:
10 to 20 Hours
The Bottom Line:
"Revolutionary"
When I first played Oblivion, I thought it was the most revolutionary game I had ever played. Before Skyrim came out I wondered how it could out do Oblivion. Within the first minutes I was blown away with the graphics, the climatic beginning and the combat system. Oblivion did take awile to get in to, but when you did, it was amazing. However, with Skyrim I was in the game right away and it never let go. I was slowly immersed into the main quest, but it was so easy to get sidetracked with all the things to do. I felt like real life, something no other game in my opinion has ever been able to do. When I finally took down Alduin in the epic final battle, I was breathtaken by the cinematic moments that this game provided, something Oblivion never did, or any other game because you felt that it was you in that battle, not the protagonist or other character. All this game did was impress. When I finally decided to take on all the side quests and upgrade my skills, I truly fell into the game. I went from dungeon to dungeon with no track of actual time. This is what makes Skyrim such a great game, the way it puts you into the game and never lets go. After playing Skyrim it was hard to play anything else because I always thought, this is not as good as Skyrim. I can only wait for the next installation of the Elder Scrolls, because I can't even imagine how they can top Skyrim, but I thought the same way with Oblivion, I never imagined how wrong I was. I think this is worthy of the title: "Greatest Game of the Decade."

  5. Skyrim is one of those games that in order to describe it, you'd have to use it's own title. Skyrim is...skyrim.

Three Skyrim bard voices performing The Dragonborn Comes simultaneously. I recorded all the video, except of course the Fus Ro Dah from the official trailer.
