The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim User Review
This game is one of the best in the series. With superb combat and a huge, immersive game world, who wouldn't buy this?

- The Bottom Line:
- "Immersive"
The Good:
This game is just excellent. I've been a fan of the series since Morrowind came out, and let me just say that this game is the culmination of all of Bethesda's previous efforts to sustain realistic graphics on impressively large scales with a blended web of stories and quests, all while keeping the player happy and immersed in the world. The main quest is relatively short by role-playing standards, however this is easily overlooked when the full scope of the game is understood. In fact, I have logged over 200 hours on this game since its release, and I haven't even come close to finishing every quest and clearing every location. The combat is much improved, with physical combat feeling effective and satisfying and magic feeling varied and powerful. The locations all feel unique and interesting, with significant improvements on the dungeons from previous games.
The Bad:
The AI is definitely improved from previous games in the series, however I must mention that combat which involves companions still results in an annoyingly high chance of killing the companion as well. Bethesda tried to work around this by having the companions fall and regenerate health when close to death, but when you're in a killing frenzy in a small dungeon tunnel, sometimes you can't help but finish the job. Also, I've heard many others complain about glitches occurring that ruin the game but I certainly have not come across any on my play through. Knowing Bethesda, however, the glitches probably do exist.
Conclusion:
Overall, the massive amount of positive characteristics in this game outweighs the minute nuisances I have mentioned. I have rated this game 10/10 and would recommend it to any person who would like to sit back, relax and get pulled into a game world for hundreds of hours.

Skyrim is one of those games that in order to describe it, you'd have to use it's own title. Skyrim is...skyrim.
