Skyrim is a game that many people will buy for all the hype and because it has a 96/100 in Metacritic which I dont blame because people want value for their hard-earned money, but to be honest I dont see why people go crazy for this game. In my book a great game is a game that can offer me fun since the minute I start playing it until the end. I think the only reason people like this game is by the amount of time you can spend on it leveling your character.

But it doesnt matter how much you can do in a game if it isnt fun to play. The combat feels clunky, boring and repetitive. There are long boring walks to get from one place to another, the amusement of fighting a dragon wears off by the time you face the third or fourth, when you killed that first dragon you basically killed them all, some small areas like bushes look very pixelated, the graphics are not that great compared to other games like GTA IV and that is comparing it to game that is 4 years old. Loading screens are too long and too often. The AI is repetitive and predictable. The purpose of the game is to level your character doing boring and repetitive stuff.

Positive
There are some things that I enjoyed though and that was the feeling of leveling up my character but that was short and brief. I also enjoyed the enchantments in weapons, its a shame that you have to go through a lot of bull**** just to enchant a weapon which is a shame. I also loved the finishing moves in battle, it was one of the few satisfying moments I had and the Dark Brotherhood missions were good but could have been better. The looting in this game was also good.

I qualify this as an overrated game. In my opinion people rate this game high because we get the image that "more is better" which is something I dont agree with. If you want to play a game with good gameplay stay away from this game, if you want a game with good story and gameplay stay away from this away, if you have over 100 hours to explore a game that thinks quantity is better than quality, give this game a shot and you willl probably enjoy it. The game isnt bad which is why I rate 7/10 which qualifies as "good."
