Starting Block: Crafting 101 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I think the system is pretty good. I have leveled up enchanting to ~50. Its works well to make money. Enchant stuff and sell it for a great profit

I've heard people say that this new crafting system is the worst one yet, but after seeing this video, it looks very interesting.

I play to kill dragons and raise hell throughout the land not play Martha Stewart.I'd rather higher the English wench to cook potions for me,it's too tedious.. Why can't you carry a bed roll and rest to recover full health and stamina instead of searching for someone's crusty bed Feels like MW3 in an RPG - same game with a few minor tweaks.

Was the chicken a bandit too?

I didn't like enchantment in the older Elder Scrolls games, was disappointed they brought it back. But it seems to work a bit better now, which is great =) I still wont be leveling it though.

No worrying about enchanting. Sandal will be recruited on skyrim for faster enchantments..

One calico cat + Pop Tart + yellow tree sap = Nyan Cat. So far, I love the game...but the UI controls need a PC overhaul badly. None of the keys are consistent it seems. Also, are they sure this isn't the Gamebryo engine?? Cause I've seen Gamebryo and this is exactly what it looks like...plus, even the file structure is a dead ringer for Oblivion. It might be an updated version, but it seems like Oblivion with high res textures and transparent menus. Anyway...great video. The only thing I crafted so far was a cold, but we can't win them all.

Game of the year... Again.. And i hope to be again and again... we love elder scrolls!!

I see some Bear Grylls action 'Oh, I wonder how that butterfly wing tastes like?...ugh...'. Can't wait =]

I was actually hoping to learn something that wasn't already talked about in trailers. This basically said, "the game has this feature". Oh well.

@Shahoul I played PC last night (Australia), early steam release :D - the high resolution textures help a lot on the PC, and the models seem a lot better. Screenies are already around the net i'm sure (been unlocked here for almost 10 hours after all) if you want to do a search. Interface is exactly the same on the PC however, takes a bit to get used to - not entirely ideal for PC users i think, you'll know what i mean when you try it. Very glad i got the PC version however, great game!

thinkin dark elf, would elf or kahjit first round. redgaurd or nord second. prob end trying them all. gotta do something new.

why did they show this on XBox? i want to see the pc. this just reminds me that oblivion's ui was too limited by console

Thats becasue GameSpot doesn't know what they are doing half the time.

Why get Skyrim when you can get Super meat boy! Gamespot gave that game .5 more points then Skyrim!............................................................ugh...

So the enchantments once again only last for a certain amount of hits? That sucks, I was hoping enchantments would be permanent this time. Oh well at least I know not to bother with enchanting again.
