Well this is strange. I just found out that this game was developed in my country and I just can't find a single shop that has it. I think that the developers are ignoring their own market. Damn it

Every time I hear the word Templar I think "Bad Guys from Assassin's Creed". So when I saw this game with the Templars been protagonists...mind explosion.

@Gooeykat For chrissakes, I mean the fable of the holy grail. That's what we were debating; not Jesus himself.

Gooeykat
Gooeykat

@pitosga Hmm, not likely a fable because the evidence is clear that Jesus was a real man. Whether he was the son of God is matter faith. Personally, I believe he was but I really didn't want to get into a religious discussion, just wanted to clear up your confusion. :)

@Gooeykat Well, that makes some sense now. They should've mentioned it's that one cup, because someone ignorant of that version of the fable (which is all it is, a fable, a legend, from a time of great superstition and ignorance) will be dumbfounded when they put it so vaguely. Alas, no, I didn't watch that movie, nor any of the old Indiana Jones movies, unfortunately, though I did watch parts. I watched the ending of The Last Crusade, when they're guessing which is the Holy Grail and the villain, obviously, goes for the shiny one.

@sam_kub25 Interesting, thanks or the info.

Seems like a ideological response to assassins creed. The gameplay is similar but the quality is worse. A war between two armies for Jerusalem, for example, would have been more interesting.

You can get this game for less than 14 dollar today on steam. It's worth considering.

@Gooeykat The Holy Grail as a chalice or a cup is a recent addition to the myth because of Christ and the last supper. But originally speaking the "Holy Grail" is a stone that fell from the heavens...It's original name or description being "the Blood Stone". I don't think too many ppl know this lol

i did and it was good (any indy movie without nazis in it is an instant dud)

@pitosga The Holy Grail is the cup from the last supper, it's significant and more important than "other cups that he drank from" because that cup signifies the new covenant between God and man and the promise of everlasting life. Didn't you ever see Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?

@AMZXIII the exact same and opposite situation exists ALOT more than in just one game. I'm tired of 360 games ALWAYS getting priority over other platforms.

AMZXIII
AMZXIII

I don't understand it . the PC version has a video review baut the 360 version doesn't even get a mark ! why the hell is that ?!

Looks interesting as a rent or cheap buy, but not a full retail. Looks to generic.

"There is trouble in the air." plus bland, inexpressive faces. Enough to quit watching. Alas, I didn't. I'm that bored. What I'd heard was they had stabbed Jesus on the cross with a spear and collected his pouring blood with a cup - presto, holy grail. This is the first time I hear it's a cup he drank from. So why that cup and not the others he drank from? Or did he have a favorite cup since childhood which he took everywhere? Well, I guess either way it's ridiculous hogwash. At least in this version it's so obvious it's amusing - and useful if it helps more people realize what religion is. But this game is just nonsense. I believe I'd have more fun replaying Rune or Drakkan than playing this. And I'm not one for playing old games when they GET old.

It was too sharp. He needs to make the sword duller.

@McGeinstein Sorry I misinterpreted your words, although you have to admit "dull" often refers to graphics...But I'm in the wrong here. And no I haven't played the game, I just can't stand people who demerit a game solely off its look. That reason alone is why samey blockbuster titles are constantly shoveled out. Again my bad.

It's quite mad how Gamespot has been so generous in this review score, when normally they are so hard to please. IGN gave a 4/10. What gives? I sometimes worry that it's just the reviewers opinion, rather than a group reaching an opinion. Strange.

McGeinstein
McGeinstein

@Hirasugi um, no.. I'm not talking about graphics at all. You must absolutely love this game or something lmao What I meant by dull, is that it looks like only a mindless idiot who likes mashing buttons and running around saving the world in another cliche manner would find joy in playing this game... so next time when you think you know what I'm talking about, feel free to put some more words in my mouth :] thanks pal bye.

i just can't believe you guys!!!! why the F are you talking about the reviewer???!!! it's a GAME review not a reviewer review lol

VercettiTommyy

The game isn't horrible, but no way should it have a rating equal to Fable III's. 5.5-6 should do.

VercettiTommyy
VercettiTommyy

Joan d'Arc (2003) had better graphics and waaaay better animations. It looks HORRIBLE. The reviewer must have been drunk while making this video. Honestly.

The baddies in this game look quite stupid. During the stealth kill at 3:00 I was yelling "Turn round you idiot!"

Yeah... there's no freaking way this game is better than Brink. This looks plain dull.

Mudvaynekid
Mudvaynekid

So Brink gets a 6 and this gets a 7? hmm I would surely trade my FPS' for a Rich RPG any day (or any good RPG for that matter) But come on Brink looks eight times better then this game and its very creative and brings something new! So how did this game beat Brink again?(I undertsnad ones an FPS and the other is an Action RPG but seriously?) oh well back to playing the best RPG of the year if not the decade! The Witcher 2!!

Hirasugi
Hirasugi

@McGeinstein Perhaps...(Gasp)...its gameplay!!! Seriously, does the fact that the game does not have mindblowing graphics negate the value of the experience? By that logic all games before 2007 are terrible because their not pretty. Your missing out if you can only rely on outward appearances to judge a game's worth.

McGeinstein

Looks very dull, how did this game get a 7.0?

The environments look good, but I suspect the faulty collision detection will limit the sense of immersion. I might pick this up at some point, but it's not a must play title.

Thank you Tom Mc Shea for being the only one who appreciates this low-budget, but still well done game!

uninspired, there's nothing even remotely original, this may have been a good game 2-3 years ago but now it just seems boring

tubaballoonz

This sounds and looks like a 6, at best. Even just from this video, it's oozing in bland mediocrity and seems to be lacking any actual inspiration to be something worthwhile.

This reviewer sounds like one of the Elcor from Mass Effect or those guys who have their balls cut off in Dragon Age. Game looks very boring. Quite how they can give it a 7, especially given that the reviewer is slating it and not even harshly, is beyond me.

the AI looks pretty bad... i don't think i could bear it, i couldn't do it with brink =p

Hmm.. I'm reminded of both Dragon Age and Assassin's Creed for some reason...

Review made sense ... didn't really touch on the poor visuals though ... are we just assuming this is a budget game so a lack of modern visuals is expected? Also McShae has got to bring some of his enthusiasm from the Hotspot into these video reviews.

reviewer for this game is always dull i like the cool guy everyone loves and the fat guy who lost weight

When I saw the part where the character turns to avoid fire I knew this is not for me. No modern game can have that poor animation for characters.

Why am I watching this? I should be playing the Witcher 2...
