The godfather is a GTA style game in which it is set in the 1940's in which your father who is a baker is killed by a rival family and don corelone tells you when you are old and the time is right you must join his family. So the game skips to the corelone wedding and Luca brasi will find you being beat up in a alley, This will lead to your first traing misson which is simple beat up the gang that beat you up ,with the help of luca brasi and then drive to your safehouse. once you have completed the training misson the game will open up into free roam in which you have a variety of options to do. The first option is basicly to complete more missons and advance through the ranks from outsider, Enforcer, Assoicte, Soldier, Caporeigme and Underboss these ranks give you more money from your weekly take as you have to pay a tribute to the corelones, The tribute is decreased the more you advance . The 2nd option is to extort buissness and earn more money on your weekly take (the corelone tribute stays the same.) Once you have taken over all buisness start to take over warehouses, These are slightly more challenging but you shuld be fine with level 1 weapons, There are 8 warehouses to take over, there are also trucks that drive there so if you can shoot the doors off and interogate the driver correctly he will tell you the warehouse he is headed to so you can drive there and be undected until you get out. Transport hubs are the same except they are a bit harder so you will need level 2 weapons to teke this over. you can also hijack trucks for this, There are 4 hubs . Family compunds are the hardest and there are no trucks to hijack, You will also need to have 2 bombs for each compund so you can blow them up and level 2/3 weapons depending on family strength, There are 4 compounds. To become don you are going to have to eliminate each family by doing the above, There are 4 familys and they are the Tattliga's who are the weakest, The Stracci's,The Cueno's and the Barzini's who are the hardest. Once you have taken over compund's you take over that part of New York e.g. the Barzinis own midtown and the Stracci's own new jersey. To become don of NYC you need to buy all safehouses and earn all excuetoin styles as well as the above. If you are low on cash and you have some dynamite you can rob a bank which contains money from $4000 to $100,000 in but you must get back to your safehouse so be careful. i would rate this game a 10 because it is perfect for fans and non-fans of the godfather as it has famous clips from the films and the book and the origanal charcters from the film do the voice of there charcter in the film.an instant classic.
