I downloaded it because I was curious about what it can do. I haven't used it but when I complete this play through, I think I might on my next.

The only thing I would want to use from it though is adding people to my party.

Most of my final 18 (which I may expand to 25 and have 5 unions of 5) are late to near-end game characters so I wouldn't get much use out of them so I was going to add my final 18 to my party from the beginning, excluding the ones that get added automatically (Irina, David etc.) but I don't want to have to experiment through my play through to make sure it works so hopefully someone can answer these questions:

    1. What will happen if I have a character in a union when I'm fighting against them?
E.g.: I have Jager in my party during a fight against him. Will the game crash or will he be in both my team and the enemy's?

    2. What will happen if I have a character in a union when they're in a guest union?
E.g.: If I was to add Blocter to my team at the beginning of the game when going through the mines, will he be in my union and by himself in the guest union?

I read in another topic that character's stats (and skills?) will reset when it gets to the point that I would normally get the character which I'm not too bothered about. I just want to know if I need to remove characters from my active party before going in to certain battles to prevent a crash.

    1. Game won't crash. There are separate entries in the game files for enemy and ally versions.
    2. With Blocter, he's already considered an ally, not a guest. He can earn stats during the time with you in the Gaslin Caves. Guests are marked with green. A better example would be Baulson. You would end up with 2 copies of him running around during battle. There shouldn't be any crashes since the guest union data is stored separately.

That's good to know. Thanks. I thought of another question as I was going to bed but I forgot what it was...

I remember what it is now.

Will I still need to recruit the characters normally before I can do their quests and will adding them to my party prematurely lock out some quests?

If adding them to your party also places them where they should be in a town, then no. And I don't think you can lock yourself out of a quest just from adding someone, other than possibly the Duke of Ghor. Having him in the party might conflict with fulfilling the triggers to "The Gates of Deceit and Sword of the Dead" since visiting him would trigger his bonus talks instead of the quest talks... I think a player had an issue with that, and it was resolved after removing him from the party. That's the only one I can think of at the moment. Not sure about "The Fallen" and Wyngale, but likely not if he behaves like Baulson.

The duke of Ghor isn't one of the characters I want in my final party but Wyngale is. I guess I'll find out when I get to that point in my next play through.

I noticed that I could also set timeshift to unlimited. I enjoy the large battles so I think I may end up using that too and fighting everything in one area at once.

Just be careful with that. Don't want to gain too much BR EXP from the slaughter~

I'm not going to be too bothered about that since I will already have my final party so they'll level up together.

I'm just looking at it from an efficiency standpoint. No point in raising BR so quickly even though you have all your units assembled.

I'll see how it goes. If I am gaining BR too quickly then I'll start my second play through over.
