Why do people keep saying Demise reincarnated as Ganon?
He said his hatred would incarnate in the EN version. The JP game said his hatred and the demons reincarnate. Not Demise.

Um, I don't know many people who say that Demise is Ganondorf.
But the fact that Demise's hatred keeps getting reincarnated means that every Big Bad in the other Zelda games is part of the reincarnation of Demise's hatred or corrupted by Demise's hatred somehow. Not Demise himself, just his intense hatred for the Hero and Goddess/Princess.
So perhaps people just figured hatred = the being of Demise...

Because figurative speech. Since Demise is pretty much pure hatred, it's basically the same thing anyway. The visual similarity is a dead giveaway too.

Well the visual similarity was done on purpose.
Can you imagine how people would've b****ed even
more had the villain whose hatred had originated all the other villains
not looked like Ganondorf, the villain of Zelda games that people mostly know?
Okay if he had looked differently people might've stopped making these 'hilarious' topics of "OmG Demise totally looks like Akuma from StreetFighter, lol, why?" all the time.

Pretty piss-poor origin story for one of the most important aspects of the Zelda games, if you ask me. It's like some five-year old wrote the story for this and they asked him at the last minute to explain where Ganondorf comes from. "We'll say he was created by the big bad guy's hatred! In fact, we'll say ALL villains were created by pure hatred, that way we won't have to put the effort into giving them all individual backgrounds!"
Man, what has become of Nintendo.

Not every main villain in the Zelda series is a reincarnation of Demise's hatred. That curse was primarily linked to Ganondorf, due to the fact that an embodiment of Demise's rage and vengeanace will only appear whenever the spirit of the hero and the blood of the goddess arrive to contest it. That rules out characters like Majora, Nightmare and Veran and Onox, who live in completely different lands entirely ruled by their own set of cultural bylaws and specific properties that aren't linked to the Triforce.

Because the word reincarnation is highlighted when Demise says he will curse the hero to forever fight his reincarnation. Seeing how ganondorf is the main villain and bears some resemblance to Demise it makes sense that ganondorf is the reincarnation. Also I believe Nintendo confirmed this.

When I played the game I got the impression that Demise's soul was sealed inside the Master Sword and his hatred reincarnated through history as Ganondorf (and maybe some of the other villains as well).
But my Hyrule Historia says that Demise's hatred was sealed in the Master Sword and he himself reincarnates to curse the blood of Hylia and the spirit of the Hero.
So now I'm just confused.

Let's say that whatever developers say - whether it's in Hyrule Historia or another source - is contradictory, so we should ignore it all and stop trying to get sense into everything.

I think that's the only sane thing to do.

That problem is solved if they're one and the same thing. Then it doesn't matter which wording is used where.

It really isn't, though.
