- "Almost, but not quite"
No, it's NOT a port of The Price is Right 2010. That game has way more pricing games than this, which has eight. Eight pricing games. Wow. Before I found this out, I was having genuine fun (and I've got over it) but this is still a good version of the show.
Presentation (Graphics and Sound): Without a host, the game loses a slight bit of it's charm. They've got the announcer guy who does the prizes in the American show. He's certainly not perfect, but better than no host. The avatars are passable, as you can customise them. The pricing games generally look like the game they are emulating, and all in all it looks fairly good, but music is missing in some areas where they are appropriate like when someone wins Contestant's Row. It's pretty good.
Gameplay: The game is almost a straight port of the 2010 game, and from what I've seen here that game is quite good. There are 2 modes. In one you keep playing until you fail at Contestant's Row three times and one where you have six chances to get out the the Row, before moving onto the rest of a single episode. There are some long loading times that detract from the experience when you are failing over and over at Contestant's Row, and some prizes are repeated but there are so many you do forget their prices quite quickly. The controls are fine (except for the Dice Game ones) and it plays rather well. The 8 pricing games are (not including the regular features like the Showcase):
Plinko - Good but no physics engine
Dice Game - Terrible physics on the dice
Cliffhangers - Fine
Clock Game - Bad as it isn't fit for these controls
1/2 Off - Good
Hole In One - Not the best controls but plays fine
Shell Game - Ok
3 Strikes - Not that good - it's mostly based on luck
Conclusion: Remember, there are just 8 pricing games. OK with that? Go ahead and buy this game! It's fun and addictive but the major letdown is those Pricing Games.
