6 years worth of fan patches have turned this forgotten gem into more than a hardcore RPG, it's now a legend.
Too Broken to bother with
Addictive & Highly enjoyable after finally being able to get this bug infested game to be playable on XP.
An RPG that has its strongest point in the turn-based fighting system and general D&D rules adaptation.
* BE SMART, OR BE DEAD! *
A real challenge, and a great learning tool.

I love D&D PnP, and I hate, hate hate, hate, this game.
Good but not great
Severly under-rated RPG which didn't get the credit it deserved because of a rushed development cycle!
This is one of my favourite games!
i started playing again with the co8 v5 patch. it is good that the bugs are gone.
Nice, not thrilling, but nice.
All-in-all, Temple of Elemental Evil is a classic example of a game with limitless potential, but very limited appeal.
Encapsulates the spirit of D&D far better than any game before or since.
A Classic Roleplaying Game Sent to its Bedroom: Mixed Blessings
Can't help feeling slightly letdown.
Great RPG experience! (With the right patches and additions) This is one of the greatest D&D adventures ever!
If you’re a fan of DnD games or want a game that sticks to the DnD rule set, pick this game up and use the fan patches.
Terrific finally a RPG that supports D&D 3.5
Im a little bias, having played the old paper and pencil rpg. I do like it alot, but in the end it has tech issues.
