Good if you know what the game is like, which you should given the titular character.

What I meant was: are the investigations good? Does the game adhere to the books well? Are the clues easy to deduct or does it treat you like an adult?

I like the game. It's kinda like a cross between L.A. Noir and Professor Layton. The game is a little heavy on the look around the room and find an object type of game play, which I'm not a huge fan of, but I'll live with it because the puzzles are pretty good.

To answer your question about difficulty, some puzzles are really easy and some clues are really easy to figure out, but for the most part the puzzles are a suitable challenge, not too easy but not too obtuse.

There are some gameplay/technical issues with the game. Such as audio cutting out, and the only way to get it back is to quit the game and go back into it. The skip puzzle feature is poorly implemented. By that I mean that after a while in a puzzle you can press the r2 button to skip the puzzle, and the game automatically solves it. This is a good idea (for people who just want to play for the story, or whatnot) but the problem is if you hit r2 you skip the puzzle. There is no confirmation asking if you are sure you want to skip the puzzle. My last technical complaint is there is no auto save, not a huge deal, but would have been nice.

Overall if you are a fan of puzzle games and point and click style games then you will like Sherlock Holmes. I'd give it a 7/10, probably would be 7.5 if they fixed the technical issues.

Thanks FreeRangers for the detailed reply

It sound good but I am still a little bit hesitant to buy, maybe I will give it a rent and see how it is. . . Do you know if there is a demo out on xbox Live or PSN?

I don't think there is a demo in xbla or psn. But I think (I'm not 100% sure) - there is a demo on Steam.

the puzzles are very good. though you have to make sure, you get proper rest before playing. i found my brains got numbed a lot of times for not doing so. lol
