Kirkman declares WD game Lilly is NOT canon to the comics

Safety spoilers

Issues 106 of WD. Someone writes in asking if the novel Lilly or videogame Lilly is the "official" Lilly since there's two different backstories for her. His reply confirms it, novel Lilly is canon while videogame lilly is not.

So are we going to stick up for "our" Lilly or what? Just think of how many more people are going to play the game compared to read the dumb Road to Woodbury novel. We need to start working on our response. Gamelilly4life!

I'm a big Lilly fan so when I heard this I was pumped. It opens up Lilly to return now that she's not doomed by canon. Also he doesn't mean Novel Lilly is canon while Game Lilly is not, their both canon just not the same person.
