Cause chances are you want to say it to. The little peckerhead is another carl. Also, for a game that gives me choices, I should have figured that they wouldn't let me save shawn. I hate kids in survival scenarios. Clementine is the exception cause she actually helps.
Also, yeah, I am bitter that once again that a game tells you that you have full choices in what you do, it is biased when it comes to certain aspects. They gotta fix that in later episodes. Maybe I don't want the kid around...
Just sayin. Give everyone a fair shot. with how they want their story to play out.

Same, I reloaded that part like 3 times, trying to save Shawn, until I realized it was impossible. Kinda lame, but I guess I can understand. Having so many choices would've taken a lot longer to write/program all 5 episodes around. And at least there are choices later on that stick for the rest of the game, which is cool. Adds more replayability and story.

Yeah I tried every single variation I could think of:
-Pull first, then push.
-Push first, push again.
-Punch zombie (lol no)
-hit zombie with 2x4 (no)
-push then hit, or pull then hit (no and no)
-save the kid first to see if I can go back to him (negative)
and I think that's about it. So around 7-8 reloads just to try and get shawn saved. Oh well.

Thanks for posting that, you've saved me from doing all that myself. =p

In my ending Kenny's wife tells me (something like): don't repeat what happened at Hershel's farm. You choose the kids next time...
I might have misinterpreted this, but maybe it implies the kids (ar at least Duck) will be endangered again, and you will have a choice?

Shawn had to die for the comics and the show, it was a way to show why Hershel is so bitter towards everyone.
If Shawn didn't die then there would be no reason for him to kick you off his farm then the story would not progress,
They gave you the choice, your choice just didn't play out like you thought it was going to (which does suck I Know and is messed up). I don't think it has anything to do with the Theory that they can't kill kids, this will happen in the game I am sure of it, they just needed to get you off the farm.
SPOILERS BELOW
I wonder if leaveing at night or day will play into the series later, like running into that cop, will he know you if you left at night or be hostile against you if you left during the day. HMMMMMMM

I'd think Chet will play a role more then the cop, cause if you go during the day he lives, no mention of the cop. If you go at night he dies, but still mentioned. I think if he lives he might be able to help you out later on.

Maybe he reminds you of the TV show Carl, cause he's definitely nothing like the comic book Carl. Carl is a badass and gets things done. I imagine in the future comics when Rick is dead, Carl is gonna be riding on a horse wearing a trench coat executing walkers with a six shooter.

Kirkman said himself it's Rick's story, and they've planned 300 issues specifically, so I imagine Rick will die in issue 300.
