I remember playing the demo for the first one a few years back and I didn't even bother finishing it because I absolutely hated the combat controls for the game.

So have they changed that around for this one? If not, has anyone here also played the 360 version? Are the controls on that one more in real time or are they setup in some way where you have to use the right analog stick to swing your sword?

No idea about what you mean by "more real time"... Both games a click/button press equals an attack right away... If you mean the timing to do combo attacks, that's gone in the second. The second game was designed to be played with a controller, and there is barely any benefit to not playing with a controller. The only difference between the 360 and PC version will be graphics.

Having just finished the first again (and still enjoying the combat), I find the second to be less fun. If you like button mashers where you have to dodge or avoid damage, but are otherwise very powerful and tear things up, you might like it.

Find some videos with gameplay and see if it looks fun, the gameplay is almost completely different from the first.

It's completely different. I find the combat in TW2 more engaging, it's all real time. The controls for the 360 and PC version are exactly the same. Right analogue stick is used to control the camera.

The combat is very different now. It's more like Assassin's Creed or the Batman games. You can still do combos by timing your clicks but it's not in the format of a point and click game like the first. The targeting is done by the camera. The direction of the camera determines who you're going to attack. Most will probably prefer the controller but I couldn't stand it. It felt awkward because the buttons were all over the place and the targeting is not as precise or as fast. You also won't have shortcuts available.

Not if you're using a controller. I attack in the direction I'm facing, not the direction of the camera.

Really? I got to try that then.
