I don't see why everyone is giving this game 9/10, bare with me.

Overrated? Not at all. It`s not received masses of praise and positive reviews for nothing

FF7 has been doing it for years...

I think this game gets most of its praise from the PC crowd who run it on super computers and never leave their basement so they love the sex scenes...because to me it just feels pretty mediocre and I can name so many other games that do things better than it does.

And then the side quests...they suck and lack quest markers...and you have to go online to look up what to do with most of them unless you like accidentally finishing them...but even then, good luck finding who you're supposed to turn the quest into.

I think the game might be more enjoyable if I skipped all of the side quests, but then what's the point? Hell, what's the point of doing the main quests when I don't care about any of the characters or the story which is too full of political BS that you can't ever get into...the combat is mediocre...there's hardly any loot...so where's the motivation?

I just find it funny, the reasons people praise this game are the same reasons I don't like it...so I'm going to just assume it has FF7 syndrome and it sucks but everyone loves it anyway for some unknown reason I'll never understand because the way people think confuses me.

Or, you know, your just bad at the game. I never needed help from a website telling me where to go or what to do. I see the the generation of casual games (yeah i went there) has broken you. I don't really care though. Call me whatever names your bound to call me after reading this, doesn't change the fact that it sounds like games that don't hold your hand are too hard for you and that if a game isn't appealing to you then its obviously overrated. That's some logic you got there.

    1) Best combat in an RPG game. Ok they made it a bit too easy with the xbox release but still fun with great swordplay/alchemy/magic/traps/bombs all coming into effect when playing at hardest settings.

    lol

not even close. it doesn't even have the best combat in an RPG this gen.

best combat? -drink certain potions, oil weapon with certain oils
-auto lock, stun, hit, roll, stun, hit roll, stun hit roll, die die die, reload, armor, hit roll, trap hit roll, stun hit roll, (bare with lousy controls, inconsistent outcomes , getting stuck)
-take skyrim, add auto lock, spam the enemy with swings, before you do that, use some magic for whynot, and also take out shields, add rolling,(i think they have that) , make the enemy so powerful that, one or at most two hits will get you dead, and there you have witcher quality combat

btw, i dont suck at this game's combat, i started playing on dark mode, i first loved the idea of having to get prepared before a battle, but then in many fights when i forgot to do this, i could kill the enemies, whereas when i was prepared with potions and oils, i d just die like that, this kind of disappointed me . when it s not about the probability of the thing i hate the inconsistency of the outcomes ....

I have put many hours into this game and I just beat the Kayren and doing the Trolls quest now, but this game really feels like a 7.5 or 8 at best. Can someone explain to me why everyone loves it so much? I just feels really, really over rated.

People love bad games because they don't know good ones. That is the only thing I can think. The combat is pitiful, characters are meh, story is uninteresting. Graphics are nice but big whoop. That is why so many like the game, graphics and cutscenes because there is nothing else that is done well.

that's a funny way to talk about skyrim

Goes for Skyrim as much as Witcher 2. At least the magic in Skyrim was done better, mainly the Shouts.
