Issues after installing the Enhanced Edition update

    I've been having significantly more technical issues after installing the Enhanced Edition update for the Witcher 2. The game seems to freeze, crash, and generally screw up a lot more since the update was installed. Overall game performance is much poorer, although I'm using the same settings I always have. Is anyone else experiencing issues, or am I a special case?

    The EE edition graphics are more optimized than the original release. Do all the usual things: update drivers, update directx, defrag HD, etc... If those things don't help, then I suspect the game wasn't patched correctly. Many people have had trouble with the auto patching software. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game and then manually patch it using the following link:
