I was wondering if they are going to keep the same explicit sex scenes that were in the PC version of the game. My nephew is 14 years and plays most mainstream stuff like Gears, Assassins Creed, Dead Space etc. I think he would really enjoy The Witcher but I'm sure his mother would not approve of the scenes with Triss and all the prostitutes.
Can anyone confirm whether or not the Xbox version will have the same explicit sex as the PC version?

This is NOT for 14 year olds! This has extreme violence, sex, full frontal nudity etc etc. IT'S NOT FOR KIDS!

I'm sure it's nothing he hasn't seen before, but I could see the parents not being ok with it.

The box is there for a reason. I like thinking inside of it. I feel safe in there.

This is an M game. Lots of sensitive topics like prostitution,racism,etc. This game is good if you want your nephew to broaden his cussing vocabulary.

@ArthasReborn
Always wondered this myself. It's ok for a child to see someone get killed (or do the killing) as long as there's no nudity. I'm not a parent though so I don't know anything about that.

I know this is a really tired observation, but I do have to question why they'd be concerned about sex but not violence.Thank you for actually answering my question. I've played the game a few times over so I know exactly what is in there. Like I said, he plays many M rated games but nothing with such explicit sex scenes. His mother hasn't had a problem with him chainsawing people in half in Gears but I think she would disapprove of the sex. I think she sees the outlandish violence as just that. Outlandish. However sex is a little too close to reality for her

Maybe I'll get him a copy without his mother knowing. I know his gaming interests and I think he would really enjoy the game as a whole.

Depends on how your nephew reacts, is he a bit aggressive after playing violent stuff like Gears or does he know that it's all just fantasy and can take it with a grain of salt?

He's very intelligent for his age. Aside from liking to talk **** a little to much when we're playing some Halo or Gears he doesn't get aggressive at all either. He's a good student who has his priorities straight as well. Overall he is a very well rounded kid and I know he would be able to handle the situations in The Witcher. My only concern is with his mother (my sister-in-law). She's conservative when it comes to sex.

it's not a porn game. They don't show the genitals, but there's plenty of trusting, boobs and pubic hair. About like Game of Thrones, though, not as often.

Your nephew reminds me when I was his age but we didn't play a game like this when I was his age. I was 11 or 12 when I played Metal Gear Solid and maybe the most mature thing I played around his age was Max Payne but this was my father's game and he did not mind me playing it.
Overall I think you should leave this decision to his parents no matter how mature you feel he is; as you may be right about his maturity but just to be on the safe side I would pass on getting him this.

Treat this like any rated R movie. It's not as crazy like Showtimes Spartacus, but it has simulated sex(not graphic) and nudity, plus violence and lots of swearing, mostly in old english type accents.

The Witcher 2 is an 18 game so no, its really not suitable for a 14 year old.

You people are ridiculous. Do you mean to tell me when you were younger you never played M rated games, watched rated R movies or sneaked porn? Don't lie.
