Take an exclusive look at the first official, full cinematic released for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Please note that this video consists entirely of in-engine footage--none of it is prerendered.
Oh no a rotting human head... Shouldn't this be banned in Australia. I'm being sarcastic by the way...
Well i like the ambient sounds ....the rest is still to unfurl, Its to early to come to conclusions yet. Tho if the games deliver this kind of cinematic detail end on end the games gona be something else
i know that wasn't geralt, it's in the debut trailer where i saw the remodeled face of geralt, i had a lot of fun in the first one and thankful for cd projekt for making a sequel, and your right this looks awesome
the first one was an epic, this one will be legendary, just kinda wish they stick with the original image of geralt, the new one is kind of lame, but the gameplay looks improve, can't wait for this one
good thing they dropped the ancient aurora engine. i spent 40% of the game simply waiting on the loading screens. heard they improved it a lot since then - but since i played the original - the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. hope this engine takes care of that problem.
OMG. I have played through "The Witcher". It's awesome, but "The Witcher 2" looks spectacular! I want it!
Very happy to see this. I love the original. I am not looking forward to fighting that big sob though. Must save just before that fight.
Dobre Czasy. I guess I should play the first one before I get this... because it looks really f'ing cool.
Well, I had sort of lost hope after 'The White Wolf' was scrapped... But this seems better! :( Got a year to wait!! but it will be worth it! :)
In all honesty I didn't like the first Witcher I felt the combat wasn't that fun, and the story got really boring halfway thru. Hopefully they do alot of changes that are innovative and works.
Wow, I'm speechless. I literally just got into the first Witcher, and it's really fun. I admit I'm just terrible at it though. I'm gonna be keeping an eye on this game, looks to be truly bad ass.
I came late to the Witcher and only ended up playing it about 3 weeks ago and was blown away by the level of immersion as well as the depth of the narrative. I love Bioware and Dragon Age was marvelous, but the Witcher makes Dragon Age's "dark fantasy" look more like twilight. And, as others have said, I'm glad they aren't selling out for a quick buck. DA Awakening was a huge let down.
i cant wait ill be this game twice too ! thou they MUST change his hair and replace the voice actor !!
Hell... Yes... Must... buy... this... Looks awesome. I love when there is actually a cool story with a game (Like TWEE even had a cool little book to read in the box.). I agree with everything Tidal_Abyss said. I'm also in my 30's. LOL. And I hope this game doesn't get dumbed down for consoles like so many others these days (cough Sup Com 2 cough). Anyway, this trailer is awesome.
Witcher EE is my favorite RPG to date & I am very happy a second one is coming out. The only part that makes me, uneasy- (I need to find out more about it), is him having 'companions' with him more, they also mentioned 'maybe' on the consoles. I really hope this doesn't turn into dumbed down & co-op/multiplayer or whatever. I am in my 30's & not like today's kids where I need someone with me to play a game. Besides, I think the solo action is more immersive & makes tense situations (fighting multiple monsters in the swamp for example), more intense & satisfying when you defeat them on your own. Every platform has their exclusives, & I truly hope the PC can keep this one. The first Witcher has already drawn some new gamers to the platform. I understand about sales increasing with more platforms, but I am more interested in maintaining the quality of this game, & that's something that will clearly take a hit if it's released on consoles. I loved the 1st Witcher's fighting style & hope the change is for the better; I would've been fine with it remaining the same, but will be o.k. long as it's still good. The graphics on the 2nd look good & I really can't wait for it's release. I am fortunate in knowing whatever the specs I can run it on my rig.
Also, I love the developers of this game. Talk about taking care of their customers, as someone else said.. i'd buy this game twice just to support the third one.
Would have liked to seen Geralt in the cutscene but im just so glad to actually see something new on this game. Im more excited for this than almost anything I can think of (with the exception of D3, releasing in 2027)
@VozacVjekoslav Oh, I played the 1st Witcher and it was awesome...I know who they are what was their job I just meant this trailer is very dark and (its personal) I dont really like how that goblin, orc or whatever that mob is looking Another thing: since i saw the interview I'm sure it will be cool ;)
This will be surely the game of the year ,but wich one? AleksandarTale maybe right we probably are gonna see it 2011
I got a not so reliable release date:Q1 2011.Does anyone think we're looking at a potential game of the year 2011 candidate?
@SixSigma1978 It's confirmed that TheWitcher 2 will not be built on the Aurora.Instead they are using Projekt Red's new 'cutting edge'technologhy. You should check out the gamespot interview.
anyone knows if this one is also built on the horrendous Aurora Engine? That engine sucks and can only make tiny sized worlds!! hope W2 is larger in scope....
The theme (like witcher 1) is "fantasy" but it leans toward the "demon" theme, which in my opinion makes an awesome universe and dark atmosphere for a true single player immersion. TBH i'm tired of killing pigs, dogs, fish, cats and such in rpgs. :)
Holy smokes , I can't believe it!! I would buy it twice just to support the developers. That's a rare gem.
@Wolfewood Sold over a million, which is great for a PC game. Not as obscure as you think. :) This is a day one purchase for me!
Wow. That looks so awesome. Of course no gameplay was shown, but it still looks awesome. I don't know who I liked more. The big dude or the elf. Both seem pretty....awesome :).
