What's known about the wifi code ingame? Does it pick up aliens when the Wifi is completely disabled (e.g. emulator, if anyone's playing it on one?)

Not sure about that, but I'm very sure Aliens are totally random, it's kind of a way for players like me who doesn't see other DSes often to get MPP. A tip on getting aliens though is to switch off mingling mode after getting 2 or even 3. Cause I've experimented for 18 hours and it was stuck at 3 aliens for the last 10 hours. (The experiment was also held in a WiFi free place... There's no WiFi connectivity at my home not even in a 5 Kilometer radius.)

Also, considering the DS only picks up the A and B types WiFi, I'm pretty sure it's not working with WiFi for Aliens.

Question: Does changing your partner's control to Manual or 6 seconds increase EXP rate?

Mecha: My current pins is: Yoshimitsu, Ice Riser, Beauty Launcher, Pamper Me Tether, and a Defense Break pin. (C2D6)

A tips to players: Pamper me Tether (Or the other Entanglements) is amazing for combos, try it out horizontally on jellyfishes and you'll see how amazing it is. 100 consecutive combos! XD

Maybe you should put the thing about SDPP trick Mecha, with the pros & cons as well.
Since ya' know..., people like to post that frequently, claiming it's s new trick whilst it has been abused ever since the JP version first come out.

    eh point well taken.

9.11 did you know you can get BP points easily? just change the time!!!
first off.. before you even think about trying to make your discovery known, it's well known and abused to heck and back by nearly every player.

secondly, there's a catch to using that method to gaining BP. you're stuck gaining only one type of BP, SDPP or PP gained whilst not playing the game. the significance of this is that only some of the pins which can evolve will evolve via SDPP. and those that can't well they'll be stuck getting mastered instead.

(also, before you think that's easy! i'll just get x% of it in SDPP and the rest in BPP, SDPP/MPP has a x9 multiplier that isn't shown by the bar properly and can really screw you up if you're not careful.)

9.12 what's going on? why won't my sexy beam evolve into a playmate beam?
seems like even though there's reports of people getting it from mingle PP, no one has come forward substantiating those claims. the latest topic on it is here http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=935689&topic=42803579

on the upside, those wanting one can get one from the story later on in the game.

    Some correction....;

    Secret Report
    Chapter 2, Day2
Get Chapter 2, Day 1's report
Track down all the Pig Noise and elimate them. Check the pig symbol if you are unsure (top right of the screen)
    Enter Mexican Hot Dog Shop.
Mayashita park, the bridge right before cat street.

Actually, you can't enter past Cedoi at all in this day, so it's practically impossible for the blue noise in this chapter (Taboo Minamimoto) to be located at Miyashita park, let alone cat street. The blue noise is actually located at Tipsy Tose Hall.

Whoa. That's an excellent way to test it...

As you know, I posted a read-only version of the FAQ on

    http://twewy.wikia.com/wiki/The_World_Ends_With_You

There were some comments readers submitted to its Talk page, so I guess I'll just paste them here, since they really belong in this thread.

    Comment from Dingodingo
First off, people constantly ask how to use big bang/ all Gatito brand pins, so I think the FAQ should address this.

Second, I found it very useful in post-game to discover the best area to farm money and 5 Yen pieces. In Beat (chapter 3) Day 3, in front of the AMX building, about 15-18 frog symbols hover around. If you chain ten of them on ultimate, you are likely to receive 99 Sprog pins that you can sell for ¥5,550 apiece, as well as ~20 ¥10,000 pieces. If you try the same battles on Easy, you can rake in those hard-to-find ¥5 pieces, which are very useful in post-game quest items.

    More comments (from anonymous)

Heya, I just want to confirm that the extra pin slot from Import Stylings at Shibuya Main Store can be bought on the 3rd day of Week 2.

I would like to point out that in the why the weird designer names portion the original poster failed to mention that the cat was originally supposed to be in the zodiac according to Chinese mythology, but was tricked out of his place by the rat. Therefore all the designers are actually based off of the zodiac.

I'd like to mention that the 'Jelly' pin (#282) is unbelievably powerful against clumped-up Noise. It hits very rapidly, locking enemies in place; it also racks up huge combos on the Hit meter (100+ with four Noise), which allows for at least x1.4 on the Special multiplier.

However I had a very VERY hard time in getting it to activate, even when I subbed it. God knows why. @_@

    I have a question...

During Week 1, Day 5 - After I gave the CD to the Reaper at Tipsy Tose Hall, I arrived at Molco and saw 2 kids cahtting about Tin Pin Slammers tournament and a so-called Hero Pin.

I then get to add a Tin Pin meme to my handphone.

I know I can imprint the Tin Pin meme to one of the girls along with the Reaper Creeper meme but is there anything else to the 2 Tin Pin kids at Molco? Am I supposed to Host a Tin Pin Slammers game after hearing abt the Hero-pin?

Can't help feeling I'm missing out on something if I just cleared the stage by talking to the girls...

    what aren't xxx pins working?
they probably belong in a set.

Eden Set - Neku in invincible when holding the puck, puck damage multiplier is x5 from the start
-consists of One Jump From Eden,One Skip From Eden,One Hop From Eden,One Step From Eden, Eden's Door

Cat Set - Equip all three and you get a big reboot speed boost
-consists of Righty Cat,Brainy Cat,Lefty Cat

4 Elements Set - The pins will float around the screen, touch it and a pulse will damage anything in the path. You can press start to pause and relocate the pins.
-consists of Swift as the Wind,Hushed as the Wood,Fierce as the Flame,Stalwart as the Mount

Black Set - All pins work individually, damage up when all 6 equipped at the same time
    -consists of Black Mars,Black Jupiter,Black Uranus,Black Venus,Black Saturn,Black Mercury

Big Set - Big Bang and Big Crunch are both needed to activate the psych.
-consists of Bing Bang and Big Crunch

Uhh, I have a couple of questions...

    (1) What's the purpose of leveling up pins and (2) is there any way to get rid of clothes that have passed the point of usefulness?

  • May 3, 2008 6:36 pm GMT
Leveling up pins generally gives stat boosts to the pin, it's either a damage boost, reboot speed boost or uses/length of use boost. Not to mention when you fully level some pins with the correct PP it'll actually evolve to something better (Or vice versa in some rare cases).
