I'm sure it will be some popular producer.

I don't even know who did the previous soundtracks.

It was Amon Tobin - a talented Brazilian musician.
No Amon Tobin + no Michael Ironside = no sale!
This franchise is finished imo.

Despite a different composer and a different voice actor I'm not done here. I've liked all the SC games (didn't like DA as much as the others but still liked it). I don't expect this will be any different for me. You can't expect a series to span more than a decade and have so many entries and not change. Change WILL happen, it doesn't mean it's going to kill the game.

Actually bongo, has it been confirmed that Amon Tobin ISN'T doing this game? I notice nobody referenced that anywhere.

It hasn't been announced that he
isn't doing the soundtrack
cancanmanstan - I was just making a point....ok it wasn't very subtle!! lol
All I have managed to garner from the web so far is rumours - some of a dub-step style soundtrack, which doesn't sound very
Amon Tobin to me.
Moody, mysterious, stylish, atmospheric, ambient trip-hop is what it needs in my humble opinion.
(Yep....too many adjectives there, but you get the idea lol)It could be Michael McCann
(a.k.a. Behaviour), the composer of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Splinter Cell: Double Agent, which wouldn't be a terrible move - I quite liked SC

A soundtrack myself, although the game wasn't great.
Whoever it's going to be, he/she will have a hard job beating the magnificent masterpiece that was Chaos Theory!
Apart from the Hitmans Contracts and Blood Money, it's the only game soundtrack I've purchased - and I still have it in the car....there's just something about the Bank track - sooooo cool!!!
**edit**On the subject of Hitman, didn't Jesper Kyd compose the music for the cut scenes in Chaos Theory? I read somewhere that he did. Wouldn't that be cool - a collaboration between Jesper and Amon?
Fingers crossed!! LOL
:-)

Cool man, I get you now. And on Jesper Kyd possibly doing cut scenes from CT, that would be mighty interesting to find out after I've plaeyd through the game and the co-op missions about a billion times now! LOL! It would be weird, but most cool. Isn't Kyd the guy that did some Assassin's Creed games? Or was he the one who did Prince of Persia? I really need to brush up on my game composers, I feel like a fish out of water in this conversation! :-) Educate me!

HA HA!! I wish I could!! LOL
I'm no expert
cancanmanstan, but what can I say....the internet can be a beautiful place sometimes....and google is our friend!!! LOL
Maybe you should be educating me!! lol
You are right, he
did compose the scores for all the Assassins Creed games, but sadly not for Prince of Persia.
And he also did write the music for the cinematics for Chaos Theory - had to double check that one! lol
I've been scrolling through YouTube to see if there is anything on there, and apart from the odd clip here and there
(not even sure if they are all genuine) I haven't been able to find much conclusive.
A guy called Michael McCann wrote the music for the Inauguration Trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDujD4JnlTUIt may just be the trailer he wrote for, but it sounds quite good - if a little pumped-up and
'Michael Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer'-ish....if you know what I mean!
There's some interesting chatter on the Ubi forums too, but again....nothing conclusive.
Makes me wonder if it's all a big secret, a surprise for the big launch in August.
Time to dig out my gossip/conspiracy hat, and see if it still fits!! lol

That's pretty funny...neither of us know the entire scoop but between the two of us I think we nailed it all :-) Too much

Oh God I hope Tobin returns to do 100% of the track. One of the reasons why I loved Chaos Theory. They might as well hire him, since their trying to go for a CT/Conviction hybrid.
