As long as it's well-implemented, the adding in multi-player shouldn't hurt "Tomb Raider," even if it does seem out of place at first.

Eh. Doesnt make sense at all. This is not Tomb Raider, I really dont know what they were thinking. I dont care though, so long as the game doesnt suffer because of it. Not that we'll ever know if it did or not. At least it scored well so it doesnt really matter.
i hope enemies respawn on this game after u beat the game where we can continue to play it and i hope animals do to
I was reading a few comments while the video was loading and I thought at first that there was too much negativity here, but now I have to admit: the multiplayer looks kind of crappy.
1 Like I guarantee this game will loose sales because of the tacked on multiplayer crap. Just go have a look at the comments posted on the newly released achievements list on xbox360achievements. ALOT Of people have cancelled their pre-orders or wont be buying it now over this multiplayer crap.
@DarthLod the kids these days are spoiled. whats wrong with just playing the game for fun. back in the day we didnt have achievements and stuff. ppl are actually not gonna buy a game because the achievements suck. lol
@kgould01 i think she's refearing at what you need to do for the achievement , that could define quite well what game you're going to play, and if that doesn't inspire a certain lvl of assurance that you're going to have fun then you might back off slowly, i'am a big fan of the tomb raider series and yet i'am the first to admit that i feel reluctant to buy this game,there are so many things that i've read and saw in the videos that just don't convince me , on the other hand there are games that may need a multiplayer option, but i don't think tomb raider is one of them, and from the looks of the multiplayer video it might as well be better with it off. Or if they really insist in bringing a mp version, it could be at least something cooperative , game nature like, not a counter strike rewamped...

You know when i first heard about this i figured that they would've gone for a kind of Assassin Creed like mutiplayer with the climbing and jumping and everything.
Running around looks fine but there's something awkward looking about the shooting. :S

2 Like Max Payne, GTA and now Tomb Raider, this really disgusts me as I imagine it disgusts many here.
For crying out loud don't they realise that the great single player games should remain single player? It's what makes them so great, we don't go around shooting each other saying how fun it is, we end up talking online about how great the storyline was, whether there will be a sequel, what could be improved etc. not whether I can move around corners and hope to shoot my online opponent in the head!
I want game developers to do good research, for example, when you consumers played Tomb Raider, Max Payne and GTA in the past did you dream of playing multiplayer? Answer: 99% say NO!
The internet may have been one of the best things since 'sliced bread' but I slowly get the feeling it will prove to be the downfall of single player gaming. (Sim City being the example).
GTA IV had a fun multiplayer system that worked, this however, looks very bad with low replay value.
@JJMikhail I loved GTA free roam with my friends but I'd agree otherwise. This campaign looks great but this is just another sub-par tacked on multiplayer but it doesn't mean you won't enjoy the single player. Just look at Far Cry 3; the campaign is great and multiplayer is throwaway but it's still one of the best games of 2012.
Let them have their multiplayer.
Looks like Uncharted 3 to me, just less polished, they still have almost two whole months, perhaps this will improve.
goodness, is this the best they could come up with? Look at Journey or Darksouls and think how to implement interesting and novel mltiplayer modes please. What is with the gun angle, really jarring.....
2 Like If you don't like it, disagree with it, don't select it, problem solved :) its not as tho anything is making anyone select the multiplayer option, so hating it kinda makes no sense.
@babyboy9680 For the most part I agree but they may see these comments and they may scrap multi and build a better story. Or they may improve the multi. Or everything could go wrong. However the only way the first 2 could become a reality is if people pointed out that currently what they are showing looks flawed and/or uninteresting. That's assuming they don't have some ace up their sleeve but right now they risk losing fans if this is ALL they have to show.
3 Like No one is going to buy tomb raider to play multiplayer in. There fore it was a waste of time money and effort putting it in. Plus it looks like a cheap ripoff of uncharted multi except the guy runs all stiff and stupid like on dead rising. How shitty and generic this looks
its not multplayer games,they mess the games up with this,,the formula;p ,,only reasons i can be itnerested in tombraider again is that if that it can a little like tomb-raider Legend;))

1 Like Still can't see why MP is needed on this game other than DRM and microtransactions.
It doesn't look interesting at all really, i'll just stick to the SP campaign I guess and hope the devs effort into MP does not take out from what SP should be.
