We take a look at some of the new gameplay features in Creative Assembly's latest addition to the Total War franchise.
@Entropy730 why would you want a ww2 total war game? :S American civil war i can understand but ww2? There are hundreds upon hundreds and probably more hundreds of ww2 RTS games out there already. I cnt undertand how the total war series would contribute to a void thats already full, especially when ww2 combat is totally different to what total war has
i think i just heard a hint that based on the reactions of gameplay from this game they might make modern one like WWI please no civil war though i just think that was is boring
Let's see here... combined RTS, TBS and Third Person Shooter?! AWESOME, CANT WAIT TILL THIS GAME IS OUT :D
To me it looks like only the firs line fires the shot and while they are reloading the second and third rows just stand there and do nothing, does this mean there will like line of firing in Empire and if so what the F is going on. How do we use second and third row use efficiently?
if this means theyre becoming more modern, i'll be happy. if they make an American Civil War game, a WWI and ESPECIALLY WWII Total War game, I will be in Heaven. Anything after WWII will just not be cool.. I feel like the weapons used in WWII would be the latest era this franchise can go (which would be fine since they could really use a new Rome or Medieval), because the technology was slow-paced and not as advanced enough that battles will be fought through settlements in the air and the like. I dont know... It's hard to imagine the campaign map and the battle map still being separate when you have huge lines of fortifications with infantry holding them, including all the supplies needed for the war effort being funneled into the battle lines. maybe there's a way to combine the two maps so everything is real-time, but still massive in scale. would be difficult but who knows what they can make in 5-10 years
Nooo!!! Not this the way of the Bushido can't just fall like that,so sad to see cheap guns and rifles had beaten the way of the warrior...... :( Now is a very powerful mix of the traditional total war game which involves swords and guns with Empire Total War element of guns and cannons, perhaps this would be the prefect entity of both in one game. :D
Now they need to combine naval and land battles to create a marine assault on fortresses and towns etc.. That would be epic!!
This looks epic can't wait, perhaps a revolutionary war or civil war spin off from this spin off but please dont go past the Gattling guns creative assembly no M4s please in future installments.
I don't know why people keep hating on the gunpowder era. I think it is a very fun era in general. Empire and Napoleon Total War were great if you could look past the bugs (which were eventually, fixed).
@Gejmer erm ok dude, I'm sure you found that very amusing. This isnt youtube though so you may well be the only one who does.
@Gejmer dude if youre joking its a pretty poor joke Her preview (not review) was perfectly fine Also you might find when you grow up that in the adult world we call that a woman, not a girl
Wow being able to use the Gattling gun yourself? that is enough to make me buy the game, holy balls thats unreal
looks awesome - cant wait for it. I have to say - I doubt Total War can get much more modern than this - considering the way they do combat, firing in lines is about the only practical way I could see Total War using any weapon that would be considered "modern"
