Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception User Review
Drake's Deception is Nathan Drakes most intense journey yet. A new city, new villain, and a brand new story, a must buy.

Uncharted has become Icon to gaming as said by USA Today smack dab on the back of the case "...the Playstation 3's signature franchise." Its true too. The fact that what makes these games exciting is ther adventurous stories. I've heard many people call Nathan Drake the modern day Indiana Jones, and being a fan of both I must say it is true. So how does Uncharted 3 Drakes Deception stand in the series is it a worthy entry to the series. I guess you will have to read to find out.
The game starts off with Sully and Drake nicely dressed in suits as they walk into a bar. apparently a man named Talbot is meeting them there. Talbot has a briefcase full of pounds waiting for the ring. It is unlclear at first why He wants the ring, but Drake claims the money is phoney and Sully calls it "Faker than a 3 dollar bill". This is where the action begins, you are tossed into a barfight where you are loaded with nothing but your fists. After the fight is over you are tossed outside where you meet Uncharted 3's new Villain. Katherine Marlowe. This women's heart comes straight out of the Wizard of Oz, just as cruel and wicked as the wicked witch of the west. She natches Drakes ring from his neck asking him what he is really afraid of. Then drives off as one of her henchmen shoot Sully and Drake.... The story then takes you to a flashback of a younger and swrawnier looking Drake. He is looking at the ring inside of the case, the ring that belonged to Nathan Drake rests in a case inside the museum. Drake sees a man and follows him this man Is sully but he has know idea who he is at the moment. after following him around Sully meets up with some people in a bar and we see a younger looking version of Marlowe, who seems to be a little to friendly with Sully. She wants sully to find the ring. Meanwhile drake pickpockets sully and slips the key to the case into his pocket. He heads towards the museum and and Marlowe is waiting with Sully. She wants that ring. Drake pulls a fast one on her and runs, only to haver her men chase him down. Sully ends up saving the Young Drake and offers to teach him a few skills, everything shifts back to present day as the whole thing was staged, to trick Marlowe. Sully and Drake get up unharmed and the adventure to search for the Pillar of the sands starts.
The backstory to the characters is a nice development of a history you have always wondered about. Also wihtout saying to much the last five chapters are so intense it will have you itching to get throough the rest of the game.
Uncharted 3 uses many famliar elements to the gameplay, though it changes the gameplay a bit. The most notable change is you are now able to toss grenades back at your enemies. It also changes the combat a bit making it a bit more intense the fist to fist brawling now has what I like to call push fights where you have to overpower your enemy to knock them off guard and continue fighting. there is also another counter where you can hit enemies while being held by another. Some of the targets have been changed like the sniper rifle with slighty more annoying controls and targeting system, but its a small flaw in an excellent game.
While I didn't play much online of Uncharted 2 what I have played on both I've got to say the Multiplayer is boring when playing against others but the Co-op is exciting playing with friends.
Uncharted as simply become one of my most loved video game series. My love for history and lost cities and artifacts draws me to the games story and compells me through. Uncharted's gameplay diversies enough between action, stealth and shooter to keep it from being just another Third Person Shooter. Though it is always curious that Uncharted 3 could be the last game, I'm really hoping Naughty Dog makes Uncharted 4 and continues to make these games as there are so many cities and ruins that Nathan Drake could explore. Uncharted 3 stands as the best game I've played this year so far and receives a score of 10/10.

A solid game partially ruined by an incredibly abysmal story.

Uncharted 3's single-player isn't as amazing as Uncharted 2, but the multiplayer, much improved, makes it the best one.

The third installment bring us back for another adventure, however it doesn't reach the standard set by Among Thieves.

Uncharted 3 takes what made the first 2 great, and adds the ship graveyard. Need I say more?
