Uncharted: Drake's Fortune User Review

I picked up Uncharted out of the bargain basement not expecting big things. I was impressed with it but I did find the controls hard to get use to. Once I was settled into them I was popping bad guys with ease. However I still found the controls awkward on some of the platforming sections.
Spoilers coming!!!! Skip this paragraph if you want to miss them.
The biggest let down for me was the Zombie thingies. Don't get me wrong, I like filling the Evil Dead with bullets as much as the next man. But for me they kinda ruined the story line a little bit. That was the only bad part in the whole story (well, except the lack of an explanation for a German U-Boat being stuck half way up a waterfall!!) Its like the flood in Halo (sorry guys, I am a massive Halo fan, but the flood just annoys me! Lack of the flood is what makes ODST so good) can game developers not come up with some better enemy's?
I am looking forward to playing Uncharted 2, in the hope that they have tidied up the controls a bit. And maybe made the levels a bit more open. I don't mean sandbox, just allow us a little bit of space to explore.

While 'Uncharted' certainly isn't original, it sure is a lot of fun.

Uncharted's promising start dwindles into a repetitive slog, but its great aesthetics and cinematics make it fair
