Releasing on August 20 and not a next gen game, Link.

"In Saints Row IV, the head honcho of the Saints has been elected to the Presidency of the United States. But the Saints are just getting started. Now the larger-than-life insanity of the Saints series gets a new twist with a catastrophic alien invasion, and the aliens have transported the Saints to a bizarro-Steelport simulation. Wield gargantuan superpowers and fight to free humanity from alien granddaddy Zinyaks mental grasp. Escape the simulation thats trapped the Saints crew, or die trying.

Saints Row IV lets players delve into an arsenal of alien weaponry and technology that will turn each Saint into an ultimate entity of destruction. Utilize out-of-this-world superpowers to fight all the way to the top. With intensified action and enhanced customization, players can use their newfound superpowers and leap over buildings, outrun the fastest sports cars, or send enemies flying with telekinesis in the greatest, most insane installment of Saints Row yet."

Trailer is in the link.

The Third sort of missed the point. It was amusing, but not anywhere near as awesome as 2, and it was kind of a kick in the nuts for fans of the characters from 1 and 2.

This just looks like The Third, I don't think I'll be picking it up anytime soon.

Yeah, it looks like it uses the same engine and no improvement in graphics whatsoever so i'm not really that hyped up and in no hurry in picking up the game, probably will pick it up in a few months.

Personally I like a bit of mental gameplay lol.

At least no one can honestly say it's a GTA clone anymore. I think that almost-stigma  is why the devs went down the crazy path.

Thanks for the post guildclaws!

Yup, its the same engine as SR3. It was going to be a DLC for SR3 but they decided to make a SR4 instead, but its more like SR3.5

I personally like all the SR games. They dont take themselves too seriously and they give you a chance to just mess with the world. Sure, I would like some Depth sometimes but who hasnt wanted to throw a jar of farts at a group of people?? Haha!
