Every gaming man and his gaming dog knows about the new Uncharted, Gears, Halo etc. But are there any lesser known games people are really looking forward to.
Games that might slip under the radar otherwise.
For me, even though not much has been said about them, Overstrike, Risen 2, and Dishonored are all looking really promising. Insomniac can do no wrong in my opinion, and a quirky co-op shooter from them is bound to be good. Risen 2 is from a bunch of RPG experts (with Risen 1 and Gothic under their belts) and a pirate game has so much potential. And Dishonored looks kind of like what Deus Ex wants to be, except the guys making Dishonored seem really intent on creating a really believable and fleshed out game/world/lore etc which gains big bonus points in my books.
I'll be surprised if anyone here has heard of the game I'm about to name. Lollipop Chainsaw. From the twisted mind of Suda 51. If you've played any of his games, you know he's among the most bizarre game designers there are. He lead the team behind Killer 7, No More Heroes, and Shadows of the Damned. And Lollipop Chainsaw involves a cheerleader fighting zombies in a high school, with a chainsaw. This is all I need to know to get hyped for the game. And hearing that her boyfriend is a disembodied head, and there are rock and roll zombie lords has got me giddy.

Heard about this through GamesRadar. Must say I am a little bit intrigued. Certainly a bit different.

Awesome! At least someone heard of it. Gotta spread the word.
Lollipop Chainsaw accouncement trailer! Whoever does not watch is... is... just evil!
Lol saw this the other day, and while I don't really think the gameplay will appeal to me at all, damn that trailer is awesome.
Not into combo based hack and slash types? Sounds like it'll be in the realm of Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. Although Suda is sure to throw in some major twists. I so can't wait.

Not overly. I don't dislike them, I just don't particularly like them. I will continue to enjoy the look of this game though.

Is that in any way a successor to Colin McRae Rally (or whatever they were called)?
No it's not related other than it being a rally game. I have been playing the 2010 version and unlike the DiRT franchise it is all about rallying - no other race types at all. Plenty of variety and plenty of rally stages though and I have thoroughly enjoyed it - hence looking forward to this year's iteration
Lollipop Chainsaw, that PlatinumGames Fighting game and Devil's Third are at the top of my list. Anything from Suda51, PlatinumGames and the Ninja Gaiden guy would most probably qualify in these lists.
